Didn’t they say last year was the warmest year in history? Did they lie?

Yes. Half the temperature readings they report aren't even from measuring devices, they are 'assumed' readings based on what they've gathered elsewhere.

There awas a report a couple of weeks ago from NOAA about rising temps in the South Atlantic. Turns out there are no temperature buoys where they were recording the increase. Imagine that.

Will a ‘68 Ford Mustang 302 work for you? Bought one for my youngest son that is now almost restored.

When I was in Louisiana before that, I think 104° was the highest I saw.

It's not the actual heat index that is so annoying, it's the humidity. 104 degrees in Louisiana is not the same as 104 degrees in Arizona or Idaho. The difference is that in the latter two, it's a DRY HEAT. Humidity here in South Florida in the summer is miserable. So much so that even in the mid to high 80's it's like an energy sapping, walking heart attack. I can't wait to retire and move a little further north but still south of the MASON-DIXON LINE.

Henrik Svenson has a very interesting theory about this. lack of sunspot activity leads to a decline in the sun’s magnetosphere, leads to a decline in the Earth’s magnetosphere. The weaker magnetosphere allows in more cosmic rays, which produce atmospheric protons which produce more clouds. The increase in rays causes atmospheric compression and that leads to very odd precipitation events...like we saw this spring and summer. Heavy rain in Dallas amd mid Texas all through the spring, huge flooding rains in Ellicot City MD, the entire state of WV, Baton Rouge. In VA Beach we had a storm that dumped 6.98 inches in 90 minutes. Interesting stuff...

” So much so that even in the mid to high 80’s it’s like an energy sapping, walking heart attack.”

Heat and humidity in August was the main reason I moved from the NC/SC Piedmont area to Colorado decades ago.

I couldn't live in Colorado, either. Not for the temps, but for the politics and in certain areas, the pollution.

We want to move to extreme north eastern Tennessee, around Johnson City. We WERE looking at Gatlinberg, but that's in the ashes to ashes category now. Too touristy too.

Used to have a ‘68 Plymouth Roadrunner with a 383 police engine special that had been blue printed. The 302 will be stock for my son. He has no problem with the non-power steering but I am concerned with the manual brakes. May in the future convert it to power brakes and put discs on the front end. Picked it up for a song with only 87,000 miles on it. Interior and exterior are almost cherry.

You bunch of silly neo-Nazi racist Rethuglicans!

EVERYBODY KNOWS carbon dioxide is nearly magical substance!

When the weather warms up, it’s due to CO2 and it’s called GLOBAL WARMING, because it’s getting HOTTER!

When the weather gets cold, it’s due to CO2 and it’s called CLIMATE CHANGE, because it changed from getting HOTTER to getting COLDER!

Geesh...

Here’s a non-Breitbart article on which the Breitbart article is based:

That theory can actually be demonstrated in a laboratory with proper apparatus; it does not rely on un-validated computer models.

Truth!

It’s so frustrating to see my child come home from HS, and describe how the teachers totally believe the warming nonsense. She feel conflicted when I tell her that Global warming is likely an agenda, rather than factual science. I show her various things to illustrate my point, but there is soo much manufactured “proof” from nearly every source, that its reasonable for people to accept it as “settled”.(It’s not)

I use other agenda topics, like the elections media manipulation as further examples of propaganda. I always remind her to keep an open mind, learn to look at alternate info sources, use common sense and the old wait-and-see approach.

Lastly, I tell her that when she’s my age, then she’ll know that it was BS, because when I was her age they were screaming about global cooling and the coming ice age.

Sounds like a fun project. My son and I restored a ‘72 Camaro SS over a period of years installing a 406 cu. in. Big Block and assorted speed equipment. Over time the Holley 650 double pumper 4150 carb became difficult to tune (I think due to the mandated 10% ethanol-doped California gasoline) and we made the switch to Holley Terminator FI. After a lot of re-education regarding fuel injection vs. carb, we got it working well. Not so oddly, the emissions (not the reason we made the switch) went way down and the performance improved.

I watched a documentary on Youtube about Svenson where he did that demonstration. Wish I could remember the name of it...

Interesting. I saw some data on the television at lunch. Here in my little corner of West Central PA, the temp is about 52 degrees and the average for November 30 is 39 degrees. What’s really interesting is that the historical high temperature for this date, 74 degrees, occurred in 1908. To what might the so-called client scientists attribute that temperature...?

real science is never 'settled'.

Time for us old guys to step up and increase methane production.

Mrs BN thinks that I am doing more than my fair share...
