WASHINGTON ― One of Donald Trump’s fiercest Republican critics, Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, said Tuesday that the president-elect should either provide evidence of his claims that millions of people voted illegally or stop spreading a false message.
“I don’t know what [Trump] is talking about,” Graham told The Huffington Post. “If he has evidence, bring it forward. If he doesn’t, he shouldn’t say things like that.”
Graham said he plans to introduce a bipartisan resolution in the Senate to show confidence in the integrity of the 2016 elections.
“I want people to believe — at least, the Senate be on record — that we believe the election is fair,” Graham said. “I’m sure there was problems, but it was free and fair.”
Trump, in a string of tweets Sunday afternoon, made the astonishing ― and false ― claim that millions of people voted illegally on Nov. 8, allowing his opponent, Hillary Clinton, to win the popular vote. He alleged that without those illegitimate votes, he would have dominated the popular vote in addition to his victory in the Electoral College.

P-E Trump has a track record of making “outrageous” claims that eventually prove to be true. I hope he repeats the trend and uses the results to make Linda STFU, useless career politician.
In SC the Dems are so weak they never have anyone who is known as credible to run against Graham. In 14 it was some Dem named Brad Hutto who no one ever heard of. In the primaries, Dems can vote in SC for anyone so they cross over to keep him in office. The other problem is in the primaries Graham had 4 or 5 Republicans splitting the vote. Ergo SC has him forever as I see it. He may outdo Thurmond in longevity at this rate.
You cannot prove a negative. Simple rule of logic.
Evidence of absence is a very tricky proposition. Absence of evidence is not, in and of itself, evidence of absence. If the evidence is sufficiently scattered or obscured, then the proposition falls apart. No conclusion possible.
There is an old curse, of “be careful for what you wish, as you may get it.”
So, if when Trump appoints a new head of DOJ and asked him/her to investigate illegal’s voting in the last election, you will get your wish granted. Trump and the American people will also get a change to “purge” voter roles of people who are not eligible to vote. Maybe we will even get luck and get a bunch of Democratic Party hacks, to be convicted of some forms of federal election fraud.
Yes, Lindsey, make Trump “put up or shut up!” Stick your hand in the meat grinder that is Trump.
