Independent candidate files for recount of sample of Nevada presidential ballots (in key counties)
LV Review Journal ^ | November 29, 2016 | SANDRA CHEREB

Posted on 11/29/2016 7:47:43 PM PST by bobsunshine

Roque “Rocky” De La Fuente, an independent candidate for president who garnered less than 1 percent of the vote in Nevada, filed late Tuesday for a recount of a sample of the state’s presidential ballots.

De La Fuente identified 93 precincts to be recounted and paid $14,154.98 to the secretary of state’s office ahead of the 5 p.m. deadline to cover the cost.

.......

In a statement Tuesday, De La Fuente said he ran in the Democratic presidential primary, then ran in the general election in various states as an independent and as the nominee of both the Reform Party and the American Delta Party in “an effort to champion election reform.”

Under state law, the secretary of state’s office has five days to complete a recount of the precincts requested — two each in Carson City, Douglas, Mineral and Nye counties and the rest in Clark County, the state’s population hub and home to about 2 million people.

If the recount shows a discrepancy equal to or greater than 1 percent for either De La Fuente or Clinton, a full recount of all ballots in the state will be ordered, said Wayne Thorley, elections deputy for the secretary of state’s office.

“If it shows yes there was a discrepancy, we’ll recount the entire state,” Thorley said.

Very true. Why would Trump utilize resources on states he LOST? If an HONEST recount was done in Nevada it is my opinion, as a Nevadan, that Trump would win the state.....probably by 1-2%. The Free Sh-t Army does have a strong presence in Clark Co. and a moderate one in Washoe Co.

Sick. I do think these recounts are an attack on the EC more than on Trump. However, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to hijack the effort with louder calls for Voter ID.

Why is Hillary’s name mentioned here in the percentage what do those 2 have in common that would mandate a full statewide recount if a 1% discrepancy is found?

I would think because Clinton won the state. So difference between Clinton and challenger.

It amazes me that the very same reporters who acknowledge the state’s political apparatus is controlled by Dingy Harry assure us that no significant vote fraud occurred on Election Day-or the weeks of early voting beforehand.

Nevada was very likely stolen, the Senate race as well, and at least 1 of and maybe both the US House seats we lost there as well as many state leg seats.

Stalling the EC? Very interesting. I’ve been hoping Voter ID is addressed before 2020 probably via a lawsuit decided by the Supremes if Congress continues to be weak on keeping the Republic sovreign from invaders. For now, just hoping that EC goes smoothly and Laz’s great countdown ends on schedule!

There were lots and lots of voting irregularities if not overt fraud. Harry Reid's state -- so of course it would be expected

You mean to expose fraud and overturn somehow Nevada to Trump?

Doubt it.

However, the Left and MSM's contention is that there IS no Democrat vote fraud. The correct question is, "HOW MUCH Democrat vote fraud is there?" In 2016, was it 2,000,000 votes, 1,000,000 votes, or 200,000 votes? It's a question that hasn't been asked much, at least not publicly. It should be. The Democrats are almost always the beneficiaries of vote fraud, and unfortunately the Republicans are terrified of being accused of political incorrectness. I don't think that Trump worries about this.

In an effort to ferret out for fraud, a Nevada recount makes much more sense than a Wisconsin recount.

Very strange they aren’t looking at Washoe County because Joe Heck won there and Hillary Clinton barely won it with less than one point.

Recount New Hampshire while you are at it. It is very close, but went for H.

By my math, Hillary and Stein could flip WI, MI, and PA, but if Trump flipped NV and NH, he would still have 270 electoral college votes.
