In a revealing interview on The Alan Colmes Show Monday afternoon, failed Green Party candidate Jill Stein conceded (perhaps inadvertently) that the reason shes calling for a recount in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania is, in part, because Hillary Clinton was expected to win those states.
Listen to the whole interview here, but I have pulled out the key statement: (emphasis mine)
The three states that we chose including Michigan that only just now declared its winner. This was not a partisan choice, this was zooming in on the states that have the markings of being most vulnerable to hacking because they had thin margins. They went the opposite way of what was expected and they had some kind of voting system vulnerability.
Hidden inside the baseless suggestion that the voting systems had been hacked (some kind of voting system vulnerability) was that key phrase they went the opposite way of what was expected.

Sadly, Mr. Colmes did not follow up on that revealing statement and pull on the thread a bit. Is Dr. Stein suggesting that because polls and pundits had predicted that Secretary Clinton would win those three states something suspicious must be going on? Is she suggesting that a telephone poll conducted by a media outlet should be considered more predictive of an outcome than the actual, physical votes and the final tally?
If late polls had predicted a slim win by Trump in these states, would Stein still be asking for this useless recount?

I know two different people who were contacted by pollsters and they refused to talk to them out of fear of being put on a secret list and facing backlash.
The ‘rats believed their lying polls, and undercheated.
They’ve ginned up the extra votes they didn’t realize they’d need, now they want their do-over.
Post 51 - what are you talking about? PA has voted blue since 1988 in Presidential elections. I think if candidates want a recount in more than one state, they should be required to finance a recount in ALL states.
Then she did not do her research on Michigan.
We have been waiting for a decade for the GOP presidential candidates to notice that we were willing to dance with them if asked.
They never asked until this election.
Republican Governor (trump-lite actually, business man with no prior political experience), Republican controlled State legislature (both House and Senate), Republican SoS, nine of our fourteen Representatives are Republicans, five of the seven justices on our Supreme Court are Republicans. The only place we're blue is in our Senators.
And they are making us very blue indeed. :) We'll try next election to get rid of one of them.
“If late polls had predicted a slim win by Trump in these states”
From what I recall, late polls did show Trump surging in these states. The undecideds broke his way too.
The result of their faked polls was that they suppressed the vote among Democratic supporters who thought Hitlery was a shoo-in. They stayed home. Whereas Trump supporters were determined to vote for him if it was the last vote they’d ever make. As I voted, I wondered if the bas###d Democrats would steal this election, too.
The state government being conservative controlled is fairly recent, I think?
That said, I was referring specifically to leftist judges being appointed by Clinton and Obama. More than a few of those, in certain areas of the state
She may have some leverage in that regard.
I was born and raised in Michigan, left 9 years ago...’blown awayy’ by Jenny’s economic policies
Ya gotta get rid of debbie at your next opportunity.
HF
As we suspected, she’s Hillary’s stalking horse.
It would look bad if Hillary did it herself.
Right you are. The “Ripon Society”. As opposed to the rip-off society, those other guys. :o)
Well, weed is green. It’s what they’re all about. Being green.
Snyder is on his second term and the State Legislature being Republican is quite long standing. Some fifteen years at least. The SC being Republican dates back to Engler.
Our big victory was getting the SoS out of the hands of the Democrats and getting in term limits on the state level.
Now if only we could do it on the national level.
It took a lot of hard ground breaking work but the state has been turned around.
Now they might get something through the Eastern Michigan District court but not through the Western. And then it would go to the Circuit Court of Appeals.
We are part of the Sixth Circuit. Ten justices were appointed by Republican presidents, five by Democrats and one vacancy.
Since we use optical scanners and paper ballots there is no chance of hacking, we have voter id, you have to meet requirements to vote by absentee and you have to request an absentee ballot EVERY election.
The ground she is standing on is that 85,000 (approximately) voted down ticket but chose not to vote in the presidential election.
That is only slightly higher then normal and arguing that they were too stupid to know how to fill in the little circle is not winning her any friends here.
Great! In fact, for the next election, why have voting at all? Let’s just declare the winner based on who “the polls” say is going to win?
...
Oh well, I guess dipshits gotta engage in dipshittery.
And not the good stuff either.....
Well, this kind of stupid won’t even respond to hammer blows.
Make believe polls from a lying msm.
Weed's got nothing to do with it.
Or even if the scouting report is said to have no evidence.
From liberal Slate: "In fact, Halderman himself has said this about his own data:
Were this years deviations from pre-election polls the results of a cyberattack? Probably not. I believe the most likely explanation is that the polls were systematically wrong, rather than that the election was hacked."
I never tell the truth to any pollster - no matter how trivial the questions.
