Tension is brewing within the Dakota Access protest as complaints grow about outside activists trashing the camps, mooching off donations, and treating the anti-pipeline demonstration like a Burning Man-style festival for hippies.
Need to get something off my chest that I witnessed and found very disturbing in my brief time there that I believe many others have started to speak up about as well. White people colonizing the camps, said Alicia Smith on Facebook.
They are coming in, taking food, clothing etc and occupying space without any desire to participate in camp maintenance and without respect of tribal protocols, she said. These people are treating it like it is Burning Man or The Rainbow Gathering and I even witnessed several wandering in and out of camps comparing it to those festivals.
Her Nov. 14 post, now making the rounds on social media, said outsiders are literally subsisting entirely off the generosity of native people (AND YOUR DONATIONS if you have been donating) who are fighting to protect their water just because they can.
A local deputy who asked to remain anonymous told WDAY-AMs Rob Port that most of the protesters are white, and that some have used racial slurs against black, Hispanic and Native American officers.

Show them the way to Canada.
“And chicks are so much easier now.”
And if you are “lucky” they will provide you “access” to an incurable social disease too. That old adage about “using someone else’s ten foot pole” applies here.
I didn’t know the mill had shut down. I used to really like that area and north of there.
“However the media portrays, the opposite is a good bet for me. Of the necessity for the pipeline, I don’t know. Nobody wants it through their yard is clear. How it landed on the Indians is not so clear nor is why.”
If you troll through court records, you will find that the Injuns got it because for years and years, despite all attempts to get their input and have them be part of the decision making process, they simply could not be bothered to participate in the process. Years and years later after unprecedented levels of not being active in the slightest way after the company building this practically begged them to participate, construction began. Somebody realized that suddenly they were not going to make any money off of this deal, so they started screaming racism, in order to get hordes of mindless zombie hippies to protest. Now they are stuck with mindless zombie hippies, but fortunately the weather is about to turn to krap, so most of them will soon vanish
He really means liberals, not white people.
Being white has nothing to do with that sort of conduct.
But it is standard conduct for liberals.
Think back to how liberals and democrats trashed Washington, DC, New York City and other places where they held demonstrations.
And the trash democrats left at the 2008 DNC/Obama convention - including American flags thrown on the ground and in trash piles.
Then recall how the majority white TEA Party left almost no trash behind when they demonstrated in Washington, DC.
In general, liberals are piggy people with little respect for anyone - including themselves.

As to "necessity", Bakken crude is going to end up at refineries, so it's a question of how it gets there: truck, rail or pipeline. Pipeline is safest, by far. And cheapest, by far.
As to the route the NDAP is following: it is being laid parallel to and within the right-of-way for an existing natural gas pipeline.
There is, in fact, no legal reason for challenging the route.
Thanks for some clarity.
Perfect example of why the hippie communes of the 60s all failed - they thought they could make communism work but it turned out that more of those who liked the concept were lazy and just wanted to live off the others' efforts.
It’s them whities again. Superior red man not respected as boss over whitey?
