What legacy?

The worst president in the American History

That legacy

..." Obama praising Castro, saying, “History will record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure on the people and the world around him.” Trump blasting Castro as a “brutal dictator” with a legacy of “firing squads, theft, unimaginable suffering, poverty and denial of fundamental human rights.”

Those comments alone show the vast difference between O and Trump. January can't get here fast enough!

exactly. What legacy does Obama have on Cuba, except for taking the Great Obama Anti-America Leftist Magical Mystery Tour for a show in Havana?

I was struck by how our media was giving so much positive coverage to the legacy of Castro upon his passing. No mention of his being a ruthless dictator. No mention of firing squads and political prisoners. No mention of his expropriation of foreign owned business interests. No mention of the Cuban missile crisis. No mention of the abject poverty he forced upon his people. They talked of how he survived for decades in power. They talked of how he led his country in spite of the crippling American trade embargo. They talked about “free” healthcare for Cubans. And a 100% literacy rate which apparently is supposed to impress us that he made great improvements to Cuban education.

If you want some great examples of media bias, review how our media totally cherry picked a few factoids to push on us, as the history and legacy of Castro.

And throw in some nonsense said by politicians such as Obama, Jimmy Carter, and Canada’s Trudeau.

That’s what happens to a president who never had much of a mandate and ruled through executive decree. The next president will also have a pen and a phone.

When his entire vision was the elimination of the United States in the world, there is so much that has to be rolled back, it will be a full time job just for things that can be rolled back by a thinking adult with a phone and a pen.

As for Cuba, one can still hope.

There is NO Obama legacy vis-a-vis Cuba. None. It is STILL illegal under U.S. law to trade with them or even go there.

I’ve been worried the ba$$turd would hand them the keys and occupancy to GITMO.

Stupid me; Here I thought the Iran Nuke Deal was the “centerpiece of his legacy”.

Since I’m married to a 2nd Generation Cuban, I’ll chime in.

I hope Trump cancels this “deal” and I hope the Cuban Millionaires in Miami hire a mercenary army to invade, topple, and form a new Republican Gov’t that enables Cuba to prosper once more.

That’s another of his so-called “legacies” that needs to be strangled in its crib

The Washington Post headline Sunday was “Castro Revolutionized Cuba”.

He communized it so the headline should have been “Castro Imprisons Cuba”.

The Wash. Post has always been pro-Castro and pro-Marxism in Latin America including covering up the Marxist ideologies/affiliations of all 9 Sandinista leaders of the FSLN in Nicaragua (the writings of Karen De Young esp.)

By way of disclaimer I am a hard core right wing man. I do approve of trade and relations with Cuba if concessions are made by Cuba relative to their Draconian State and her suppression, murder and crimes against her own people.

1.Legal free flow of Cubans in and out of the nation of Cuba.
2. The free flow of communications in and out of Cuba, i.e. Radio, Television, printed matter, etc. but most importantly total and unrestricted access to the internet.
3. Free trade.

When Henry Kissinger negotiated Detente with the Soviet Union he in effect said this is your sphere of influence, Eastern Europe, and this is our sphere of influence, Western Europe. In effect he gave away Eastern Europe. I thought Henry Kissinger was a fool. All he insisted on was points 1, 2, and 3 above. Henry Kissinger was brilliant.

The West did not take back Eastern Europe. Kissinger ignited a revolution and knew he did when he made the deal. He did not get the free flow of people between east and west. He did get the free flow of information and trade and the revolution started. Eastern Europe freed itself due to the actions of Kissinger, Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan and the greatest pope ever, John Paul.

We do not need Cuba. Cuba needs us.

The nets desperately want us to shore up the communist regime that continues its tyranny in Cuba.

Trump will put real pressure on Cuba to stop oppressing her People instead of rewarding them for not being quite as brutal as they were....the Left sees this as a bad thing.
