Not really. There is no state wide “assault weapon”’ ban, no magazine capacity restrictions, no ban on .50 calibers. Any law abiding resident can get a CCL, although the cost is unreasonable in my view.
But Illinois is nowhere near as bad as New York, Massachusetts, or California. Not even close.

IL is certainly not as bad as NY or CA, you are correct...but it still has lots of firearms regs nonetheless.
