One report from a student is that he may have heard the policeman gunning down the Muslim terrorist. So a gun was involved but the attack may have only been the car then the machete incident.

Just this weekend we heard a story how even having campus police at all is oppressive and racist! Maybe the snowflakes will reconsider.
