Sick minds think alike...my first thought, too. Then again, I've had jobs where gallows humor were a fact of life. such as firefighter and Air Defense Artillery officer in Germany, during the Cold War.
We knew our lifespan was about 15 minutes if the balloon ever went up, as that was the time it would take for some 50+ Warsaw Pact bomber squadrons to reach our air bases (Bitburg, Hahn, Spangdahlem) from East Germany.
