Rosie ODonnell has taken to her website to defend herself after being slammed for suggesting on Nov. 21 that Donald Trumps son Barron is autistic. Heres why she chose to publicly speculate about Barron. Rosie ODonnell, 54, has been defending herself on Twitter ever since sharing an anti-bullying video that featured president-elect Donald Trumps son Barron on Nov. 21, which questioned whether he was autistic based on certain behaviors he displayed during his fathers campaign. But on Nov. 26 Rosie decided to address the matter head on by writing an emotional message on her website where she defends speculating about Barron.
Here is how it went down, Rosie began the message. My 3.5 yr old daughter Dakota was diagnosed in September with HFA high functioning autism. I have been immersed in that world/reality since. learning reading asking questions, Its all autism all the time for the newly diagnosed as we try to grab onto anything to keep us standing. The knowledge we r not alone, there r others living this too. When I saw the anti bullying video that mentioned Barron it spoke to the symptoms many ASD kids have it was educational and informational. These symptoms so many do not understand I thought how amazing IF it is true.
Click here to see pics of Barron Trump IF it is true I tweeted from my heart. It would help so much with the autism epidemic. 1 in 55 kids is an epidemic. Donald and I agree on that and not much else. I feel he is a clear and present danger but this autism subject had nothing to do with Donald. Though i admit he does trigger me in all ways. I have no ill will for his children or any children and if u knew anything about me u would know that. Donald does not have the power to change the facts to re write history so speak true stand tall. THE WORLD IS WATCHING. For those who felt me a horror what can i say humans we try our very best and fail often. Peace out as we try to save democracy from this madman who thinks OUR country is his.
Before Rosie addressed the matter on her website, she got SLAMMED on Twitter for sharing the video. You have no interest in Barron. You want to stir up trouble. Play fair. Dont attack kids, Rosie! This is low, even for you! one user tweeted. Insinuates he has autism. Using autism to hurt Trump and a little boy? Offensive to those with autism, another Twitter user wrote. So low!! Amazing that her hatred overflows to his child. You disgust me Rosie, another user tweeted. Many of these users thought Rosie was continuing her feud with Donald by attacking his child. Still, if she was being honest in her message, thats not the case.
Like Anton asked about, could you provide some evidence for your claim that the first autism talk was on this forum? The earliest online claim like this that I saw was after the Barbara Walters 20/20 interview with Trump and his family from November 2015. And that was posted on a thread first started in 2014 on an autism board, wondering in a purely speculative manner whether Trumps son had something to do with all his statements in interviews and tweets about a theorized cause of autism.
This sort of talk then exploded on Twitter and to a lesser extent on various other websites, especially in comment sections to articles, after the final day of the RNC convention, when Barron was filmed in the audience several times and later onstage. Since the victory speech, its been all over the place (unfortunately, increasingly by Trump haters who are disturbingly trying to use this claim as an insult, which is offensive to both the Trumps and those on the autism spectrum), but Ive only seen any discussion of this on Free Republic from this month. Are there actually posts about it here from last year or before (or even ones prior to the convention, for that matter)? If not, then FR was hardly the originator of this.
Just a quick correction of my post. I made a mistake here:
“Ive only seen any discussion of this on Free Republic from this month”
I know there were at least a few posts from before this month; I meant only since the convention. Don’t know what I was thinking when I wrote that, although it does seem to have picked up a lot this month.
Did Chumlee shave?
I was about to concede your point — then I noticed you said you were just kidding.

Don't know about you Doc, but I'd need to rent some hydraulic equipment. My back couldn't handle it.
Kalifonnia should fine her.
They follow Goebbel’s precisely.
Judging from his parents, he may be brilliant and autistic or not. We will not know for awhile.
Rosie on the other hands is a slimebag sociopath for venting her disappointing life on the head of a nice family and a really cute kid. I think HHS ought to take her child away if this display is how she is as a human.
