Much of the commentary about Kellyanne Conway’s Meet the Press appearance this morning has focused on her criticism of the prospect of Mitt Romney as Secretary of State. We’ll discuss that in a “Note” below but would like to highlight a striking statement by Chuck Todd that immediately preceded the Romney discussion.
Todd was grilling Conway over potential conflicts between Trump’s business interests and his role as president. Conway eventually had enough, and observed “I went back and looked at what all the press clips and the conversations on shows like this eight years ago. It was basically debating just how cool Barack Obama is. . . . if we’re not going to do that about President-elect Trump, we should at the very least trust him to do the right thing and comply with the law here.”
A visibly annoyed Todd shot back: “I understand. Every knee-jerk pushback is going to be to blame the media. It’s a crutch. I get it. And I’m used to it. But it’s not the fact.”

She should have asked about why they didn’t grill Obama about hanging out with the terrorist Ayers and Wright and muslim who he palled around with!

Talk about crutches - neither the media or the liberal agenda they support has a new strategy in the playbook, they are using all the old ones (”Designated Conservative” is a racist, sexist, bigot, homophobe, Islamophobe; only out to protect the interests of the richest 1%; want us all to die of dirty air/water/food; or not in touch with the other 99%), and when called out on it, get confrontational, pivoting the conversation back on the personal character of the subject, making it an ad hominem attack.
Oh yeah, that guy. Heard he was a thing back in the 90's. No idea who that guy with the big clock on his neck is though.

NYT & CNN: e-mails showed them working with Hillary.
Sorry Chuck, but the horses are out of the stables now; indisputably, their bias is now blatant.
MSM bias is conventional wisdom and from now on we’re going to yellow flag them every time, despite your Iraqi information minister objections.

The MSM (and Obama) can criticize Fox News and Rush and talk radio all they want - and it is considered good and proper, even mandatory - but let anyone criticize THEM, and suddenly it is un-American, a threat to the nation and the freedom of the press, and must be denounced and put to an immediate end.
