I doubt Trump's staff is "asleep at the wheel", but I hope the are considering a response.

They should challenge New Hampshire and Minnesota, and force the Democrats to defend their margin in those states.

I do not know but I imagine the dates have passed for challenges in those states and I think that is why Stein and Clinton timed their challenges when they did to run out the clock for Mr. Trump.
