The Democrats’ real strategy in launching recounts
American Thinker ^ | November 27, 2016 | Richard Baehr

The recount in Wisconsin, and coming ones in Michigan and Pennsylvania will not change the outcomes in any of the states.  No recount ever changes thousands of votes.  I do not think that is the purpose.

The recounts, if done by hand, which can be demanded, may take longer than the last day for completing official counts in a state and directing Electoral College voters.  If all 3 states miss the deadline, Trump is at 260, Hillary at 232.  No one hits 270.

Then this goes to Congress, where the House voting 1 vote per state elects Trump, and Senate selects Pence. This would be first time this happened since 1824; in that case, John Quincy Adams won in the House, though he had fewer electoral college votes than Andrew Jackson.

If this goes to the US House and Senate, and the result is the same as from the Electoral College without the recounts, why do it?  The answer is to make Trump seem even more illegitimate, that he did not win the popular vote  (he lost by over 2.1 million), he did not win the Electoral College (did not reach 270), and was elected by being inserted into the presidency by members of his own party in Congress.

The recount in Wisconsin, and the coming ones in Michigan and Pennsylvania will not change outcomes in any of the states.  No recount ever changes thousands of votes.  I do not think that's the purpose.

I think she will be mostly dead with no higher brain functions and on life support, which keeps people alive for years. Bill Clinton will be the real POTUS since he will be making decisions and will not be as brain dead.

No need to do it every election and they do cheat every election to some degree.... they generally cheat enough when its that close....they thought this was in the bag.... remember, they were popping bottles at 8pm..... they didn’t cheat enough this election... Ockham’s Razor.... the simplest answer is likely true..... Hillary and her crooked cohorts aren’t doing this to make a Statement.... or just to try and delegitimize Trump.... they have a clear end game of taking the Presidency....albeit a longshot....its shot.

According to law, the RNC is not allowed to say or do anything about a call by the Democrats for a recount.

That explains it.

Thanks!

I never heard of it. I mean, I had heard the term Boystown before but I never really gave it much thought.

It's absolutely mind boggling to me that this stuff happens. I guess I just think of perversion as something done in private or shame. The idea that this type of thing is done in groups and is pretty widespread--it's just hard to wrap my head around.

Clinton's supposed lead in the "popular" vote comes from illegals in California.

This needs to be SHOUTED from every rooftop.

I believe Mr. Baehr is correct. The Democrats know they can’t win but they are looking for a MinMax solution.

Yep. Also, the Dems want to distract from the disarray their party is in.

You do realize that the 12th amendment has modified that part of the Constitution? No longer applies as the VP is selected separately. The VP would be Pence...

Concessions are not binding. They are words. Remember Al Gore?

I remember that night. I could not believe a man would go back on his word, and then I could not believe the number of American men who thought that was fine. That was the wake up call for me. Yes, I remember Al Gore and I despise him to this day.

Yes. I got a good laugh over his "I won the popular vote" and "lock box" statements. Can't stand him either!😐😐

Personally, I don’t think they have a chance of flipping any state, but I do think they could gain public sympathy for changing the electoral college or as the author, suggests delegitimizing his electoral landslide, by throwing the election into Congress’ hands.

Steve Quayle’s site had an article on it about a month ago saying this election would go to the House and that the Republicans would put up Paul Ryan for President and Mitt Romney for Vice President and leave out Donald Trump.

The last time the dems did this in 2000 they succeeded in disrupting the transition, delaying the confirmation of some appointees and convincing Al Qaeda that Bush was weak and would not be able to respond to a major terrorist attack on US soil.

I'm sure Trump noticed all of this, and took notes.
