A recount of the 2016 presidential election results in battleground Wisconsin will start next week, adding new drama to an already contentious election filled with surprise twists.
The recount comes after a group of professors and lawyers raised concerns about the possibility of hacking. Donald Trump decried the recount as a “scam” in a statement on November 26.
The Wisconsin Election Commission “is preparing to move forward with a statewide recount of votes for President of the United States,” Administrator Michael Haas announced in a written statement on November 25.
The recount was requested by the Green Party after its nominee, Jill Stein, raised more than $5.4 million in just over one day to fund recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, all states that were surprise upsets for Donald Trump and which he won by fairly small margins.

All of them. But there is a recpount period after certification , is there not?
The larger question will be what they will do when they discover that hacking was done by the Democrat party, will they reduce Hillary’s vote totals?
Imagine for a minute that Hillary and her lawyers actually manage to steal this election after the fact, as Algore tried to do in 2000. What would happen then? Civil war? Revolution? Anarchy? Chaos? At the very least, nobody would ever have a scintilla of faith in the US government again. Perhaps that’s what the leftists want.
A Direct Threat to Democracy?
Nixon was always condemned by the press and many others for various reasons but he never stooped to contest the election in 1960 that gave JFK the presidency. It was always said it was stolen in IL - imagine that - and he said No, he wouldn’t put the country through a recount. There’s class and then there’s class - none of it found in the progressive wing of the democrat party.
Were all of the ballots locked up? Could someone have time to change something? The Democrats must know something to do something this drastic.
They’ve all been certified but each state allows a candidate for ask for a recount. Here is what is interesting, if Trump wanted to counter:
For NV - Election certified on Tuesday. Recount must be petitioned within 3 business days.
For VA - Election certified on Monday 11/21. Recount must be petitioned within 10 days.
For CO - Election certified on Tuesday 11/22. Recount must be petitioned within 10 days.

This is a job Jimmy Carter can handle. He’s always stuck his nose in foreign countries elections to monitor them and make sure they’re fair. Get on a plane, Jimmy and head north!! And after that, keep going!

One positive development result from Jill Stein’s reason for a recount is an acknowledgement that electronic voting machines are subject to hacking..... a greater accountability for elections in the future might result.
What if a recount reveals illegal alien votes for Clinton? Someone wants to create political conflict.
