This isnt about a recount. This is about delaying the certification of results. The state can’t certify if there is an active recount. If they can’t get the certified results in before the electoral college, the EC votes can’t be counted.
Stein wants a full hand recount to include voter intent. Voter intent is where they review each ballot to see if the voter intended to vote for the right candidate. For instance if a ballot voted solid DEM, but did vote for president, they can determine that the voter intended to vote for the DEM candidate. They will contest every ballot.
This is Alinsky style tactics. Drag the election out as long as possible. Create a constitutional crisis. Get it close enough for them to contest the results or outright steal it.
Won’t work. You don’t need 270, you need a majority of the counted EVs.
This is what got them into trouble in Florida in 2000. I suspect the legal challenge to this idiotic process will force these states to certify their votes long before they can ever complete a recount.
