On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s “New Day,” TheRoot.com Politics Editor Dr. Jason Johnson argued that President-Elect Donald Trump might pick former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney as Secretary of State to get him out of Washington in the same way President Obama “took Hillary Clinton, who has been one of his biggest critics, made her Secretary of State and told her to get out of the country.”
Johnson said, “There’s an element to this that you sometimes see when someone is like the President of the United States. They may choose some of their most vocal critics, who are still within their party, and give them prominent positions that will take them out of Washington. What did President-Elect Barack Obama do? He took Hillary Clinton, who has been one of his biggest critics, made her Secretary of State and told her to get out of the country. So, that may be one of the ideas behind the Trump administration.”
He added that Kellyanne Conway’s statements about Trump’s base being angry with Romney “disorganized,” “unprofessional,” and set a bad precedent for how the administration will work.

I would like to think Romney for HHS. If anyone should know the failures of zerOcare, it should be the inspiration for dumBOcare. As for State, I think there are others more knowledgeable. And, that ambassadorship to Libya is reserved for Hitlery, no security is coming.
PS. I’ll take Rand Paul’s 3 years on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee against anyone else currently on the committee.
Romney has no power over Trump. He played his hand during the primaries and lost. It is over for him.
Willard is 69, like Hillary. With a bus load of grandchildren. And businesses to run.

Never heard of a Romney body count. No reason to get him out of the country like others.
Romney is not a threat to Trump. He is just a POS traitor who should be locked out of a Trump administration.

We need the “R” count to hold the majority in the Senate. McCain is part of that count.

I don’t know where else you get foreign relations experience except in the foreign relations committees. Maybe international business?
Has Ed Royce come up as a possibility? I don’t know much about him. He seems conservative enough.
