Laura is a talk show host. This job is above her pay grade. I think she would be TERRIBLE at press secretary job.
Monica also has a velvet glove and likability, a la a female Tony Snow, that could be needed to charm the press in balance to Trump’s direct gruffness with them.
If I didn’t think the WH press corps deserves a good slapping around, I might agree that it isn’t a good natural fit for Laura.
But still, I think Monica is the one for the position.
What would be horrific IMO would be if they stuck Kellyanne down in that position after giving the GOPe/RNC sellout Sean Spicer the communications director role. That should be Kellyanne’s job!
