PARK CITY, Utah Mitt Romney warned here Friday that Donald Trumps election as president could change the nations moral character and lead to the normalization of racism, bigotry and misogyny.
Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee who has been the most vocal leader of the Never Trump movement, delivered one of his strongest rebukes yet of Trumps candidacy in an interview with CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer.
I dont want to see trickle-down racism, Romney told Blitzer. I dont want to see a president of the United States saying things which change the character of the generations of Americans that are following. Presidents have an impact on the nature of our nation, and trickle-down racism, trickle-down bigotry, trickle-down misogyny, all these things are extraordinarily dangerous to the heart and character of America.

I am technically a "Person of color", and I just dont see where Trump made a racist statement, or "based his candidacy" on racism, ethnism, misogeny, blah blah whatever. The took a couple of statements and blew them the f*ck up, trying to sink Trump with them. Didnt work, but what DID work, is it agitated and scared the opposition to the point where we are witnessing a type of mass hysteria.
Scott Adams might say that they ended up believing their own persuasion.
“Mitt Romney warned here Friday that Donald Trumps election as president could change the nations moral character and lead to the normalization of racism, bigotry and misogyny.”
This alone disqualifies Romney from any position in a Trump administration.
“...trickle-down racism, trickle-down bigotry, trickle-down misogyny...”
Go away, Mitt, and don’t ever come back. You are truly irredeemable.
Does anyone here know William III? Posting this without a caveat seems a slithery, snakelike trick, too. He’s on MY craplist from now on, anyhow.
He has gone from a liberal Republican to a Social Justice Warrior.
The article is from June. But it still raises the question of whether someone who said this should be awarded with the highest cabinet position.
This alone disqualifies Romney from any position in a Trump administration.
The article is from last June.
June 2016 was such a long time ago. Mitt was just a kid.
’ For what purpose is it poste here today?
Possibly to remind folks what needs to be apologized for. ‘
Bingo. I wasn’t trying to suggest that Romney just said this - I only wanted to remind people what he said back when it counted, when there’s was still an election campaign going on and still a possibility that Hillary could eventually win.

lol
This article is being posted on multiple pro-Trump sites. It’s an effort to bring Romney’s worst comments into the current discussion.
Has Romney grovelingly apologized for this slimy comment? No. Then it’s still relevant—and the more people who see it, the better.
All the more reason to flush Mittens down the toilet where he belongs. Slimy sanctimonious peckersniff should be pushed as far away from government as possible.
It should be brought to Trump’s attention. I don’t tweet. Any tweeters out there?
Romney must be off the radar. I hope Trump is playing with him.
Misleading......JUNE 2016 article.
Why not make your special comment below the article so people will recognized immediately. That would have been helpful.
Most of us already know Romney is a no good sob.
It’s on The_Donald subreddit, and I know for a fact that Trump’s team closely monitors that site. It will be taken into account, without any dout. (Iirc, Bill Mitchell also linked to it. Trump’s sons follow Mitchell. Mitt’s snotty words are coming back to haunt him.)
dout = doubt
“Mitts snotty words are coming back to haunt him.”
Glad to know that. Romney is a fly in the ointment.
Romney either didn’t get the job...or he’s a complete imbecile.
+1!
If you reward people for this kind of bad behavior, they will never figure out that its unacceptable.
I'm almost sure he privately recanted when he came to Trump begging on hands and knees for a job in the new Administration.
BTW, similar comments were made against Barry Goldwater by liberal Republicans in 1964. (Romney's dad may have been among those who did, but I'm not sure.) But no one had to kiss up to Goldwater and recant, because Goldwater lost the election badly to LBJ.
