Jill Stein to formally file for Wisconsin recount - UPDATE - PETITION FILED
The Guardian ^ | 11/25/2016 | Amanda Holpuch

Jill Stein, the green party’s candidate in the US presidential election, is due to formally file a motion for a recount in Wisconsin on Friday as her funding effort for counting the votes again in three states passed $4.9m.

As more money flooded in for her effort – which aims to fund recounts in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, all states where Donald Trump narrowly beat Hillary Clinton – she admitted she had no hard evidence of fraud but said the systems were vulnerable.

Her campaign team said it would formally file in Wisconsin before the 5pm ET deadline to do so; the recount motion deadlines for the other two states are next week.

The fundraising site explained that Stein’s campaign “could not guarantee” any of these states would have a recount. “We can only pledge we will demand recounts in those states,” the site said. “If we raise more than what’s needed, the surplus will also go toward election integrity efforts and to promote voting system reform.”

Her effort has split liberals, with some energized by the potential to show defeated Democrat Clinton is the rightful election winner, and those who see Stein’s intervention as an expensive gimmick to promote the Green party.

On Friday, Stein said she was acting due to “compelling evidence of voting anomalies” and that data analysis had indicated “significant discrepancies in vote totals” that were released by state authorities.

“We do not have a smoking gun,” Stein told CNN. “On the other hand, we have a system that invites hacking, tampering and malfeasance”.

Most of that $5 million came from automated donations (BOTS) not real people so it's invalid but everyone thinks most of those are real donations.

****Just one question: If she decides to not demand a recount, does she get to keep the money?****

Of course she gets to keep the money, why else do you think these people go into politics?

Trump has 306, needs 270. All three have 36 votes, the loss of 36 leaves Trump at 270 versus...

    MI 16
    WI 10
    PA 20

How'd you come up with 36?

Funny how the money came in just time to pay for the Wi recount. WOW what a coincidence as if some automated robot were actually programmed to do that. Amazing Soros is stealing the election right in front of our eyes and everyone is believing the media lies that this is a legit fund-raising effort to recount. So when Soros funds recounts is that legal? NO

"Jill Stein has no chance of winning, her request should be denied."

Exactly the right point that needs to be made.

The money source may not be legit, but she still has the funds to buy a willing judge to set the hand count in motion. The payee could care less where she got the money.

"1. She doesn’t have standing - a recount would not change her performance in the races.

2. The “scientists” who performed the analysis state flatly that they have “no evidence” that there was fraud perpetrated.

3. The recount is ultimately at the discretion of the powers that be in that state - Secretary of State and/or Courts. Remember what we went through in 2000 with a recount in just a couple of counties in FL? No way the powers that be want to go through that again.

This is all a big show to attempt to delegitimize Trump’s election. It will fail. "

Excellent points and spot on conclusion.

They will use it as an excuse to spend the next 4 years whining that Trump would have lost "if the election had not been rigged".

Michigan 16
Wisconsin 10
Pennsylvania 20
Totals 46, not 36. Getting all 3 flips the election to Clinton.

She says she has no evidence of fraud, but what if she uncovers democrat fraud? Will she come forth and admit it?

Silly question , of course she won’t!

I hope one of the states takes her money, otherwise she gets the money and she gets to whine.

I think Jill Stein is trolling the democraps. 3 states needs to flip, and she only targets the smallest.

And takes the rest of the money to the bank.

Important Facts: 1. Per WI law, any candidate can ask for a recount as long as their have the money upfront. 2. MI is the same, but they use all paper ballots scanned in with no connection to the internet. 3. Again the same as the others HOWEVER, they need a Judge to request the recount based on "indications of Fraud". PA only uses electronic machines, again not connected to the Internet. With over 7000 districts, this would be monumental task. See Thread explaining the scenario: PA RECOUNT SCENARIO

This is what I worry about; what if they are busy manufacturing ballots in the ‘fraud counties’; ooops just found these ballots that were never counted.

Not necessarily so. In order to start a re-count in Wisconsin, the request and the payment bond had to be received today.

The deadline for Michigan is Monday (11/28), Pennsylvania is on Wednesday (11/30).

WI Board of Elections can appeal to WI State Supreme Court and block the judges order as well should they reject her request and she Court shop till she finds a friendly judge. I believe the makeup of the WI Supreme Court is majority GOP!
