They currently carry HK P2000s, which is basically a USP compact that lawyers redesigned by committee. They also have a mix of M4s and shotguns. Lots of BP M4s are in bad shape due to poor maintenance habits and not having one per agent. On the non-lethal side they have pepper ball launchers and a few 40mm grenade launchers for less lethal rounds.

The lawyers and DHS told BP agents a couple years ago that they had a responsibility to try to retreat when being "rocked." The Mexicans get all upset when BP shoots people throwing big rocks and blocks of concrete at them.
