Yeah, I need CCI mini-mags and they are still hard to get.
There’s plenty of AR-15 ammo online. Get on the email list of some of the best retailers like SGAmmo or Target Sports USA or Palmetto State Armory. Lots of good deals and free shipping.
I get two to three good offers every day.
Price of .22 Ammunition to Drop
http://gunwatch.blogspot.com/2016/11/price-of-22-ammunition-to-drop.html
From a week ago.
The Walmarts here in Richmond VA have everything but .22.
One can find it online, but at a price well above what it used to be.
.22 magnum is still scarce.
Oh good! Maybe I can get a Kel-tec PMR-30 now. Ammunition too would be a plus.
The good is I can buy my next gun cheaper, maybe ammo as well. The bad is that a gun in my collection will now sell less than it might have otherwise. Oh well, I’ll take that loss for the promise of what Trump might bring us: National recognition of our 2nd amendment and pre-emption of most/all local laws so that my rights do not vary when I cross city or state lines.
i took a bath on Smith and Wesson
I have 3 large Walmart style boxes of 500 or 555 rounds plus a bunch of 50 round boxes. I really need more, best quality boxes of copper plated rounds for my Ruger Mk II which is fussy about fodder. I hereby apologize for hoarding. Probably do it again if we’re in the same situation.
BTW. I Love CB caps for offing vermin in ‘close neighbor’ situations. Pffft they go....quieter than a pellet gun.
Maybe, on the bright side, prices will drop and sales will still be good, preparing for the next anti-gun regime!
Walk into a Walmart or Dicks. They have huge boxes of .223 real cheap.
I agree that this is a good thing, and maybe I won't have to save for so long to buy the final rifle in my collection (my wife is rolling her eyes in disbelief) an M1A SOCOM CQB, .308. The purchase I made of a KEL TEC KSG Shotgun ended that collection and I've got all the handguns I could ever want. Seriously. The only item I'll be constantly buying is AMMO, both practice and premium defense. Once I get that carbine, I can finish the various upgrades to the rest (like refinishing the firearms I've inherited from family and adding some accessories to others) and move forward in life.
Next up: Finally dedicating myself to some custom features on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara edition 4x4. I put this off since I bought it new and untitled in 2009. So, a new obsession emerges after 50 years!
Make America Armed Again!
You said: “Millions of people who weren’t allowed to buy or carry will suddenly act on their right to do so.”
Bingo! We have a Winner!
My first thought also. And even so for people who already live in a gun friendly state, that may buy another gun to carry into places they travel to but could not carry in before.
I might actually be one of those, I go to the East Coast every year. Currently leave my gun at home. See no reason to have a permit in Texas, it’s legal to have one in auto without concealed carry permit.
My current pistol is not that concealable.
You might still want to buy stuff, after all, Trump wants to lift the restriction on silencers.
THere’s likely to be a boom on noise suppressors and the stuff that goes along with them.
Just to see the liberals freak out, I would LOVE to see some Congressman offer a bail out bill for gun manufacturers. Cite the massive drop off in business, and say they are too big to fail. :-D
That's funny. I don't consider 22000 rounds hoarding.
We expect reduction/relaxation of gun laws, making things available that haven’t been. Save the money awaiting new fun stuff!
So if we really want to support gun industries, we should push for far more restrictive gun laws, and find clever ways to oppress and inconvenience gun owners. You do want gun companies to do good business no?
Is that all you got?
