A top advisor to Donald Trump on tech policy matters proposed all but abolishing the nation's telecom regulator last month, foreshadowing possible moves by the president-elect to sharply reduce the Federal Communications Commission's role as a consumer protection watchdog.
In an Oct. 21 blog post, Mark Jamison, who on Monday was named one of two members of Trump's tech policy transition team, laid out his ideal vision for the government's role in telecommunications, concluding there is little need for the agency to exist.
"Most of the original motivations for having an FCC have gone away," Jamison wrote. "Telecommunications network providers and [Internet service providers] are rarely, if ever, monopolies."
The FCC declined to comment for this story, but its current leadership has disagreed strongly with that analysis. Its Democratic chairman, Tom Wheeler, has spoken of an Internet service "duopoly" in much of the country that limits competition. And he has compared telecommunications to the rail and telegraph networks of the 19th century, calling for new rules of the road as the Internet becomes the dominant communications platform of the 21st century.

One thing I left out of my post on this topic quite accidentally is that the home has changed owners over the past 8 years. I don't think it's something specific that either owner has "plugged in" but there's definitely something in that house that's causing a buttload of interference. Would love to have the local power company get there and inspect the electrical service and see if that's what's causing it, but neighbor not open to that for some reason.
Of course, the FCC has been no help.
False analogy. It’s not an omlette. It’s a government agency that has a cancer in it. Do we kill people who have cancer? No. We remove the cancer. In this case all I’m suggesting is we rip out the cancer and leave the rest of the healthy, functioning AS IT SHOULD body to complete its original mission. Nothing more, nothing less.
It’s a bureaucracy not a living being. We disband and replace those.
The military regularly disbands units which are not needed and commissions new units to perform whatever mission is required.
Civil agencies should be run as competently.
Grab a small portable AM radio and walk around your property and the immediate neighbors. I’ve found interference inside my compound using a portable. Many times that same interference will show up on the AM band, with the closer you get to the source, the louder the interference. Dimmers switches and certain Chinese LED lights are many times the culprit of interference. And Plasma TVs give off enough RF to give one a sunburn. Those things are just nasty.
That's exactly how I know it's in their house.
Related story: I used an old shower radio with the AM band in it to find a break in my dog's electric fence. Handy things, those old AM radios!

This may just happen. Every industry all across America has been bought up until there is just a few owners controlling it. The corporate oligarchy was put into place to have fewer heads at the table when the NWO is installed.

They can dissolve departments and salvage necessary aspects/tasks, moving them to other departments. The FCC threatened to shut down Drudge and Breitbart. They are now demonizing conservative groups and sites as “alt right.” They are defining us as racists and terror risks. Actually they already do anyway but the FCC has the power to harm conservative web sites.
I live approximately a half mile from a Walmart and when plasma TVs came out there was so much RFI you could fry an egg. By the way, the Santa net is up every night on 3.916 MHz starting at 7:30 pm central.
Most of those that get on these commissions are basically industry insiders and lobbyists. I favor almost random selection via dart and phone book, where Americans are more likely to be represented than Wall St globalists. Or at least hobbyists with a strong understanding of technology.

While we need morality and the rule of law for true freedom to exist, I tend to agree with this, as the FCC would not in the future be able to be used by the *left-wing anti-American thought police to eliminate or target conservative sites and communication. It also serves to reduce available apparatus to be utilized to force anti-American/anti-freedom UN compliance by our government.
Additionally, we are already dead broke, and the FedGov has long been grabbing non-enumerated authority from the states. Not saying no regulation whatsoever, but the states should be freed from potential tyranny, and freedom of speech has been seriously threatened under progressive federal government to the breaking point.

In my own case, I especially enjoy listening to the big clear channel AM stations when driving at night. I used to listen to a lot of FM, but the audio on most has turned to mush (heavy, heavy compression of the audio.) I can stand some interference, etc., if I'm listening to news, a game, etc., but heavily compressed music just robs me of interest in the music...
The biggest problem I have with nighttime AM is still those darn Mexican stations that crash in at the worst times: Announcer: "State has tied it at 72. 5 seconds to go. Smith passes to Jones in the lane. He rises to shoot! He..." is drowned out by Mexican music. Me: "Agghhh!"
