yes, its amazing just how mis-informed (and outright ignorant) many of our high school graduates really are these days (you can toss in college graduates to that sentence, too)

especially anything about American political history and our Constitutionally-recognized liberties

I agree that the local education apparatus is a serious problem. You can tell because all real discussion is about employment and distribution of spending in the system, rather than results. However, it’s the only place a real difference can be made; it will never happen at the Fed.

Maybe it will take the Global Economic Collapse to blow the educationalist racket.

I don’t think TRiUMPh’s appointments are sops to anyone. If that were the case Christy would not have been kicked to the curb.

I trust that he is choosing the best for the job. It did not get where he is by making bad personnel decisions.

“The president-elect, in his selection of Betsy DeVos, has chosen the most ideological, anti-public education nominee put forward since President Carter created a Cabinet-level Department of Education.

“In nominating DeVos, Trump makes it loud and clear that his education policy will focus on privatizing, defunding and destroying public education in America.

Awesome!!! This is such good news!!!

Good. Perhaps this means students will be able to get jobs again when they graduate.

The same groups have led education for decades. These groups don’t know what they’re doing. Under their watch education disintegrated. Why keep listening to them? They have no credibility whatsoever.
If your team keeps losing year after year after year, eventually sanity says you must change the coach and his assistants.

Today is Wednesday.

President Elect Donald J. Trump only 1 day past the 2 weeks point

and another great pick for his team

I don't think I can keep up with all the winning....

I'm still suffering from "multiple daily Trump rally" ending syndrome.

The model is the mistake. We need government schools in the same way we need Soviet-style collective farms. Government schools need to die before they destroy us entirely.

I agree. My preferred model is "private pay or private charity."

Don’t use the communists propaganda term “Progressives”.

These are marxists, and they laugh a little every time we buy into their latest lie about who they are.

Nothing “Progressive” about communism.

Anybody calling themselves a “progressive” needs to be locked up.

COMMUNISTS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

>>“We have an obligation to all children in America. That’s why we’ve fought to ensure that struggling schools get fixed, that we fight for kids to have the powerful learning, the social and emotional and wraparound services, and the great teachers they need. <<

And yet, we have the worst educational system in the Western World. Apparently “fight for the children” = “fight for more for teachers and less for children.”

I hope you choke on it!

Hope you're not holding your breath for that, FRiend.

Imho, many of the ankle biters are trying to feed some kind of ego malnourishment

When it's not rankling, it's kinda funny in a pathetic sorta way . . .
