When push comes to shove despite the rhetoric about freedom, Silicon Valley kowtows to Communist China. One thing Trump can do with these Chinese companies wanting to buy US companies and assets is impose the same rules on them as the Chinese impose on US companies trying to do business in China.

Earlier this year, I read a book called "Terms of Use." The book was written by a liberal (Scott Alan Morrison), and, of course, the bad guys were Republicans, the Chinese, and a business that was basically all but called "Facebook". In the book, the company was called "Circles."

The basic plot was that rogue insiders at Circles were developing fake accounts and bots to act like friends, and sway opinions. They were doing so to get into the Chinese market, and would use these bots to weed out dissidents, and sway opinions to whatever the government wanted.

The protagonist had discovered the nefarious bot programs, but didn't know what they were actually for.

As it progresses, it turns out the Chinese and the American Businessman were working together to also use these accounts to sway the election in the Republican's favor. Apparently the Chinese official and the Businessman had been friends in the past.

So, once again, the liberals are projecting onto others what they actually want to do, or are doing.

The book was poorly written, with too many trite memes of the day, but the plot itself was closer to reality than many might realize.
