James Woods stops using Twitter (because of political censorship/liberal bias)

Since @Twitter is now in the #censorship business, I will no longer use its service for my constitutional right to free speech. #GoodbyeAll

I got banned here when I was wrongly accused of being anti-Trump.

James Woods speaks his mind, rare in Hollywood. So, without him, Twitter becomes more of just another prog echo chamber.

I don’t use Twitter, but I have gone there to follow breaking news. It was a rapid-response vehicle that often broke through the msm barrier. For that, it was valuable.

Twitter’s behavior is disturbing. They are banning anything to do with exposing child abuse while allowing purveyors of disgusting child porn to continue posting. Reddit did the same ban of accusers, citing open posting of personal details.

These communities are IT-savvy. Reddit Pizzagate researchers (admittedly some are hysterical)are now on VOAT.
Twitterers are now on GAB. I don’t know how proprietary the code for FB is, but I do hope its monopoly is broken. Not only do these platforms censor, they also name, blame and shame anyone not a prog in a bullying manner. They serve fascism.

Losing Woods reflects poorly on Twitter.

Acknowledged, but I just think none of the Hollyweird crowd (yes, even the few that lean toward the conservative spectrum) deserve the adulation accorded to them. They're all just overpaid oh-look-at-me dumb entertainers. None of them is likely to discover a cure for cancer (or anything else of relevance). Clowns, at best. JMHO!

Yeah, I do agree. Woods used his celebrity to tell the world about suspicious Muslims on a plane when to do so meant....well, we all know what it meant/means. He took a risk.

I appreciate a good actor. That doesn’t include those who are simply photogenic or sexy. I don’t appreciate them becoming *experts* because they played a role or were in a film about a sensitive subject. It does become difficult to watch them once they’ve allowed themselves to become political.

Once upon a time, the studios demanded they all keep shut outside the sound stage, so as not to spoil the illusion.

Most of them are empty shells simply capable of taking on a character and following directions.

You made your point very well and I agree with it. However I have a simpler attitude.

How can you take seriously anyone’s opinion of reality when all they do is play ‘pretend’ for a living.

I am sorry to hear that. I voted Cruz in the Primaries but when Trump won the primaries supported him.

There was a spate of time post-primaries when the number of poster appeared to decline...posters I had seen since signing on a year or so ago appeared to disappear. I thought most left voluntarily, disgruntled. Sorry you were blocked.

The volume of postings appear back to normal. However, there appears to be more that seems to be trolls with suspiciously FREEPERIZED handles. Perhaps my brief Facebook bout with political trolls has left me a suspicious ole fart.
