The story says the pending mining permits involve private lands near Yellowstone.

Thanks for the clarification. I missed that sentence in the article. So with this pending restriction, I would say that the owners property is now worth less than it did before. Are they going to be compensated? Can/will Trump's administration overturn this diktat?

Here's the problem with compensation. If it's mining...who is to say how much is there, how much can be extracted, what would be the net return over a period of 60 years...assuming two generation mine the land.

In other words, as far as compensation goes, you'll get nothing even close to reality.

This is about land outside the National Park. Park land is already protected.

The FEDS do NOT own any land within a state-——BUT they control the land. Which is part of the Bundy ranch fight.

The states should control their own lands. The FEDS have proven to be bullies.
