A handful of network executives and anchors who were among those invited to attend Donald Trump's media summit on Monday are lashing out at the president-elect and his behavior during the off-the-record discussion.
Four of those present spoke with the New Yorker about what happened behind closed doors in Trump Tower, saying that the first 20 minutes of the hour-long meeting involved Trump attacking many of those present and their network coverage of him during the race.
'I have to tell you, I am emotionally f***ing pissed,' said one of those present at the meeting.

They just can’t stand looking in the mirror. Beside being “off the record” and now being discussed proves Trumps point doesn’t it? Can’t trust the media. The less they know the less they can lie about.

You’re probably right, but it has gone from partisan to in many cases to pure propaganda.
This also puts them in a great bind.
If they continue to bash Trump, they look like sore losers, and their bias will be seen by Trump voters, and their message will be ignored by middle America.
If they try to make nice, the left will accuse them of capitulating, and their message will be ignored by the few that still listen to them.

I wouldn’t call OANN balanced. I’ve only watched a few times, but they seem to have more conservative constitution focused reporting. They do have some reporters who give their views more so than some of the others. I don’t think they’re always trying to give both sides, but just trying to report more facts, less opinion.

These creeps don’t understand the First Amendment. Nobody elected these idiots to any post I know of. That means their opinion is no better than ours.
If they went back to reporting the news instead of publicizing propaganda, everyone would be a lot happier. This kind of crap started a long time ago and got totally out of hand in the last election.
I hope Trump uses the Sherman Anti-Trust act to break up AP, the Times and all the other “Nationally syndicated” news organs which have been monopolizing opinion on the news.

True, but the difference is that up to the 1950s most major (and many smaller) cities had two or more newspapers. Each had their own bias but there was competition and when one tried to cover something up, the other would report it.
Today most newspapers and networks are controlled by a few powerful people. They have (dare I say it) a monopoly on the “news” and so for most only one voice is heard, the liberal voice.
Trump is showing that the old gatekeepers can no longer control the message. Trump can bypass the media and speak directly to the people. The MSM is now on the defensive.
This, I think, can be compared to what happened to castle once cannons became common. A shift in power.
The media haven’t yet realized that in an Internet Age they’ve become irrelevant.
After 18 months of Trump being Trump did they suddenly think he was going to go Little Jebbie and kiss their collective a$$e$? Are they really that stupid? Yes...
Trump needs to continue the war on the liars in the media.

Good way to put it. I’m just a plain guy and it was obvious to me that the media performed horribly during the campaign.
Their misbehavior cannot be forgotten. The dishonest individuals need to be made to publicly suffer. They probably can’t be charged with any crimes.
