Trump’s voters love his Twitter rants against popular culture
New York Post ^

Chad Dietz simply shook his head and said, “They don’t get it, do they?”

The 32-year-old account manager for a medical device company in Greenwood, Indiana, was reacting to the whole Donald Trump vs. “Hamilton” war. But it wasn’t Trump’s angry tweets that had Dietz upset; it was the media’s overreaction to them.

Dietz likes that Trump fights back. Reporters may think it’s a distraction and pointless, but his supporters want a fighter. They see his tweets as not just strength, but a defense of himself and them.

The writer of this piece is spot on. Writer interviewed people from western Pennsylvania like Greensburg, New Kensington, Monongahela Valley, and Youngstown OH in the-state area which tipped the balance toward Trump in PA, Ohio and West Virginia. Democratic middle class going Republican because they believe in the one man who listened.

“I know it’s probably crazy to say, but I think the American people felt like it was being bullied by corporate media’s view of them. Trump is the first candidate to figuratively punch the bully in the face, and people love that.”

Not crazy at all. It's patently obvious!

If the left likes to make fun of his tweeting, and the right likes to hear directly from him, then everyone should be happy. Tweet, Donald, tweet.

Dietz likes that Trump fights back. Reporters may think it’s [tweeting] a distraction and pointless...

Trump's pointed tweets render the MSM all but irrelevant as they are becoming castrated.

Yes, Trump's tweets ARE a "distraction"...from MSM propaganda, aka "Fake News."

Trump tweet == "primary source"

Big Media reporting on Trump tweet == "secondary source"

Always go for primary sources when able.

We have a local commentator on the DC news radio station WTOP named Chris Core. He's a big lib. His daily commentary is called "Core Values". The other day he was tut-tutting about Trump's tweeting, demanding apologies about the "Hamilton" fiasco. He said it wasn't "presidential". "Concentrating on your job, Mr. Trump and not sending out childish tweets, is a core value" (get the cutesey tie-in to his last name?).

Yes. They feel (not think) that they are more important than the person they're reporting on.

There are a lot of reasons people voted for Trump and his twitter rants are one. I’d also be willing to bet his threat to throw Hillary in jail gave him at least a million votes
.. At least I hope he doesn’t back down.

Why are Trump’s tweets always “rants”?

How about Trump’s supporters enjoy his “directly conversing with the people”?

Yup.
And, notice the not so subtle ‘programming’ effort to paint Trump as something he is not:

“But it wasn’t Trump’s angry tweets that had Dietz upset”

Angry???
Please.

So “flatbacking” with your legs in the air, like a subservate dog (much like George Bush) is more to their liking?

Go watch the movie “Joe” from the late 60’s (starring Peter Boyle) to understand why the GOP never sticks up for the Conservative half of America, the way the Democrats stick up for the Liberal half of America. This movie was really quite prophetic.

It tells the story of an upper crusty middle aged country club Republican, who accidentally murders the druggie/hippie boyfriend of his daughter (played Susan Sarandon). He then walks into a bar and sits next to an Archie Bunker-ish blue collar laborer (Boyle), who’s giving a rant to the bartender about how he’d love to kill one of those long haired hippie freaks. When the guy confesses that he just killed one, the two of them form an uneasy friendship, and spend the bulk of the movie searching through the hippie underworld, in search of his missing daughter.

This movie mirrors the reality of a political party that was originally the exclusive home of well heeled mainline Protestants, that was infiltrated by social and cultural Conservatives, in response to the social upheaval of the 1960’s. The fact that the Left wing hippies were disposed towards embracing the Democrat party (with the intention of pushing it Leftward), pushed many former Democrats to defect to the GOP.

The GOP country club Establishment never felt comfortable with the flag waving yahoos, and has always kept their distance from grassroots Conservative groups. They like it when true Conservatives show up at the polls to vote for the GOP, but they’ve never had our backs in the way that the Democrats are completely plugged into every Left wing special interest group.

By remaining largely silent over the past 46 years (going back to the end of the 60’s), as Left wing America haters have completely taken over all the major Pop Culture institutions, the GOP Establishment has left us true Conseratives out to dry.

As per the likes of Trump, Giuliani, Christie, Palin, Gingrich, etc......it’s not about how each of them fare in a Conservative litmus test, it’s about their willingness to stand up to the Liberal Pop Culture Industrial Complex.

It’s about breaking PC taboos, and loudly denouncing the media for the propagandists they are (as opposed to a few sporadic and subtle digs at media bias, which is all we ever got from the Rove Establishmentarians).

It’s about having the nerve to not only defy the Liberal Pop Culture memes, but to do so forcefully, and with no apologies.

Reagan never had to deal with an electorate as ignorant and decadent as present day America. During the 80’s, terms like “White guilt” were only heard in writings and conferences that catered to entrenched academics. None of this snowflake stuff was mainstreamed yet.

Unfortunately, at this point in time, rudeness and confrontation is necessary in order for any politician to bring some sanity back to this country.
