Breitbart ^ | 22 Nov 2016 | John Hayward

With all of the politically-charged talk about banning “fake news” sites, it seems appropriate to review some of the worst fake news stories pushed by mainstream media outlets. No matter how large your family gathering is this Thanksgiving, you won’t be chowing down on a turkey as big as these phony stories from A-list television shows and publications.

A summary of a few big stories of the MSM that were later proven false.

It is impossible to compile a complete list of all the fake news from the media.

The list would be too long.

Breitbart would be a good site if not for their never ending scripting. Not worth the bother.

I have to say that Kellyanne Conway an the Trump staff has to stop using the word “fairness”. Fairness, balance and centrist are all bad words to describe the press. Kellyanne looks like a baby when she asks for fairness. What she should be asking the press for is honesty, journalism, and respect for the viewers/readers.

The press has clearly lost respect for the American people. Trump is the champion of the middle class. So, its right for him to point out that the press no longer cares about their audience. They are just trying to persuade, not inform their audience. When Joe American and his wife turn on the news. They want honesty. They want to be informed. And they get angry when they are being used, when they are being manipulated.

So, Kellyanne if you are listening. The word “Fairness” is out. Fairness sounds like its all about Trump. Honesty, Journalism and respect for the audience. Trump does not mind a tough reporter. But he can’t stand a liar.

The Breitbart article didn’t mention the CNN/Time magazine article by Peter Arnett and April Oliver “Tailwind” alleging war crimes by US Forces in Laos.

At the recommendation of people here at Free Republic, I installed Ad Block Plus. It has been very useful.

Without it, The Breitbart would crash my computer. With the Ad Block Plus, I can now navigate their site.

I am very pleased that the list starts off with Walter Duranty’s (New York Times) cover-up of Stalin’s crimes.

Breitbart pegs this as the murder of 1.5 million Ukrainians. Doctor Rudolph Rummel estimated that between 5 and 10 million Ukrainians were murdered. I call this the Ukrainian Holocaust.

The Walter Duranty and the New York Times received the Pulitzer Prize for their reports. This is what real Holocaust Denial looks like.

It seems that press reports of “Trump making fun of a handicapped reporter” were also fake.

In the 2000 Presidential election, the press falsely declared the polls closed in Florida.

The polls were indeed closed in those parts of Florida that are in the Eastern time zone. The polls were still open in the Florida panhandler which is in the Central time zone.

These news reports depressed turnout in the more conservative Florida panhandle, thereby making the vote close. With honest reporting, Bush would have taken Florida handily. There would never have been a recount, no chants of “selection, not election,” etc.

You could make a pretty good case that the sinking of the USS Maine that Hearst fanned into an entire war might come under that category as well. I’ll post others as I think of them.

I can’t imagine the gall of this kind of claim in the MIDST of the swamp of MSM lies being exposed in “the emails”!
