As an English lit student, I was assigned to read a couple of her books. I did not. Life is too short to read affirmative action literature.
Well, she did take a curriculum space away from a dead white man at least.
I couldn’t agree more than Toni Morrison’s poetry is sophomoric and amateurish next to the world of great literature. She should never have been taken seriously. If she is studied, it should only be as an example of bad literature.
