Washington Pizza Place Flooded With Threats Over False Hillary Clinton Conspiracy

“From this insane, fabricated conspiracy theory, we’ve come under constant assault”

Since being featured in a viral fake news story about Hillary Clinton, the owner of a Washington, D.C. pizza restaurant said the threats he and his business have received are “endless.”

A fake story published before the presidential election accused the restaurant, Comet Ping Pong, of being part of a child abuse ring led by Clinton and her campaign chairman, John Podesta, the New York Times reported. The entire story was false.

But in the weeks since the story appeared, restaurant owner James Alefantis has received hundreds of threatening messages and phone calls from people who believed the story to be true.

“From this insane, fabricated conspiracy theory, we’ve come under constant assault,” Alefantis told the Times. “I’ve done nothing for days but try to clean this up and protect my staff and friends from being terrorized.”

The prevalence of fake news on the internet has recently been hotly debated, amid questions about whether the spread of fake news stories might have helped Donald Trump win the presidential election.

Alefantis was a Clinton supporter, but he said he has never met her. The speculation about Comet Ping Pong began when Alefantis appeared in an email to Podesta, discussing a fundraiser for Clinton, the Times reported. Podesta’s email account was hacked and published by WikiLeaks in the months leading up to the election.

The conspiracy theory, dubbed “Pizzagate,” has continued to spread among adamant believers online.

“It’s endless,” Alefantis said.

KimDotCom claims big reveals are coming once Trump is in power.

Waiting until there’s a changing of the guard before the files are released.

Kim might be full of it, but we shall see.

It’d take a leak of, for example, the Weiner computer files to expose something this high up. Nothing short of that would do it.

What I find interesting is that “Fortune” is putting this cover story out for these people.

Good catch. Maybe they want to do a story about me selling my CD collection on ebay.

They are conveniently refusing to post any of the sick tweets this creep put online

Or the Instagram photos grabbed before the sick pervert made his Instagram profile private.

EX-boyfriend.

They dated a few years before that.

So why is he powerful at all? He sucked off a guy several years earlier? Don’t think that’d do it.

even his name says, in french, that he loves infants. what is the co-incidence?

Is the French translation of his name true? If not strictly literal, I realize it's too close. The subtle but erotic symbolism at the stores within the plaza are also suspiciously suggestive.

By itself, his name is a coincidence; conflated with the Podesta emails, the Epstein activities and participants, the obvious but sloppy coding, the cast of other unsavory related characters -- how many odd coincidences and transparent perversity are we supposed to dismiss without being accused of "idiocy" and "paranoia" by one particular in-curious poster?

SMOKE = FIRE.

There you have it -- Katie Reilly says so. Shouldn't that be good enough?

The prevalence of fake news on the internet has recently been hotly debated, amid questions about whether the spread of fake news stories might have helped Donald Trump win the presidential election.

"Hotly debated"? Reilly's entire screed smacks of left-wing suppression without any facts being considered.

Post election the elites looked around and decided to blame the internet for Hillary losing. They can’t control the narrative with sites like Drudge, Breitbart, Free Republic, etc.

Call them “fake news” and say it is a crisis. That’ll justify Twitter and Facebook bans and maybe ban the sites as well once the U.N. takes over the net for promoting ‘hate speech.’

Remember, internet is now global and we are one of the few countries protected by something like the First Amendment. For now.

I think they misjudged using this as a ‘fake news’ story to spin but look at the approach:

1. Online people are promoting it.

2. Create Jimmy Comet as the victim being attacked by online trolls. Phone calls. Damaging his business. Victim.

3. Give ZERO facts in the story but use Alinsky-style naming and shaming: Conspiracy, false, lies, not true, fake news.

I think they made a BIG miscalculation picking this specific story to use as a test run for ‘fake news’ slamming.

People will google the facts. Photos/images (the Instagram, ‘art’, bands) = SUPER creepy stuff.

It’ll only make it a bigger story. Putting out fire with gasoline.

Well, he does have a PAC called “PizzaPAC” which raises money for Democrats. I think that has some significance of his power.

Nope. Not surprised at all. "Fortune"'s owned by Time.

When I was more into reading all the business mags, I liked "Forbes" best, but "Fortune" did have Daniel Seligman as a columnist.

The prevalence of fake news on the internet has recently been hotly debated...

"Fake News"? "Hotly debated"? Only from the panicky purveyors of THE Fake News, the MSM themselves. And only now that The Hag has been defeated, and devastating REAL News has been exposed on several fronts.

We mustn't forget that the MSM outlets and their countless "Journ-O-Listers" are still in the employ of their respective Fake News outlet.

I was wondering if the incessant parroting of talking points by the captured whore media would diminish after the election. Apparently not.

Girls and boys, today’s talking point is “Fake News”.

See how harmful the “fake news” sites that interfered with the captured media cover-up of Clinton’s many crimes are? We must censor them and deprive them of all revenue. It’s for our own good.

Think of the (trafficked) children!

As Lady Heron pointed out...Fortune? How many of the 1000 toes in the 500 are being stepped on. I think the “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” idea is off. There’s a stench that’s betraying a massive garbage dump.

And the owner of Politics and Prose bookstore on the same block is also listed as one of the Top 50 People in DC. She just happened to work for SOS Hellary. It’s also where Obama did photo ops with his daughters. Yeah, sure, little independent nobody business owners on that block just happen to show up on the DC list.
