Forget Donald Trump's Great Wall.

The people who live in the bustling, fertile Rio Grande Valley, where the U.S. border meets the Gulf of Mexico, think a "virtual wall" of surveillance technology makes a lot more sense. It's already in wide use and expanding.

If it won’t cost much or they’re willing to pay the extra miles needed I’m willing to give them the option to be on the Mexican side.

If we can’t have a wall, can we invent skynet, HKs, and Terminators to patrol around? I am sure such an idea would make people beg for a wall. /sarc

Civil Forfeitures (which libs love for many reasons) are perfect in this instance. Wealthy Californians (and others) who routinely and knowingly reap benefits to their real property and their business ventures on the backs of illegal aliens, must simply forfeit their gains and any ancillary property related to their criminal behavior.

This “Common Sense” proposal is fair and just. It focuses justice on the unjust, fills the tax coffers, and discourages illegal immigration and bad behavior all in one unobtrusive stroke.

This voter doesn’t live anywhere near the border and he welcomes the wall.

It’s a real shame that the Mexicans can’t just obey our laws but they can’t apparently so we aren’t left with but a couple of options.

How about a high power microwave field that fries everything that touches it.

With the appropriate warning signs, of course. Heck, the signs could be in both English AND Mexican*.

*As dubya would say. :-)

When all those federal grants dry up the city and its residents will start feeling some financial pain. According to the SF Chronicle the city receives about $480 million from the federal government and an additional $900 million from the state, most of which is pass-through federal money. That’s nearly $1.4 billion that could be withheld. Let’s see how they deal with that.
