Trump Summons TV Figures for Private Meeting, and Lets Them Have It
MSN News ^ | 11/22/2016 | MICHAEL M. GRYNBAUM and SYDNEY EMBER

It had all the trappings of a high-level rapprochement: President-elect Donald J. Trump, now the nation’s press critic in chief, inviting the leading anchors and executives of television news to join him on Monday for a private meeting of minds.

On-air stars like Lester Holt, Charlie Rose, George Stephanopoulos and Wolf Blitzer headed to Trump Tower for the off-the-record gathering, typically the kind of event where journalists and politicians clear the air after a hard-fought campaign.

Instead, the president-elect delivered a defiant message: You got it all wrong.

Now THAT should have been on national TV, I would have loved to been there in person. Can you imagine all the wet diapers in that room as Trump read them the riot act? Love Trump more every day if he keeps that up, the media needed a dressing down.

Remember, Trump said he would follow the Constitution.

The Constitution requires the President "from time to time" to address Congress about the affairs of state.

Nothing more is stipulated.

Trump therefore should kick the press out of the White House entirely, and restore the proper relationship of the media as free but subservient to the people and not a driving force or opinion or policy.

Ever since Nixon was pushed around by the press we have had a sort of rivalry between them and the POTUS in leading public opinion.

Sick and inappropriate relationship.

Trump will put them back in their proper places, which is one of much reduced status from what we are used to.

What was *not* reported, by another unnamed source, that President Trump offered a one-way flight on TrumpOne for any, in the room, who still wanted to leave America, gratis.

“he might consider extending some kind of olive branch “

That would be ridiculous. Remember Bush? Trump could be over-the-top toadying to them and they’d still crucify him at every opportunity. If an opportunity didn’t present itself, they’d create one.

I say he just needs to freeze them out. His only responsibility is to We The People. MSM has become irrelevant, and much of the reason is because they’ve sabotaged themselves by excessive lying. They’re reaping what they’ve sown. Screm ‘em.

Two hours ago, DJT tweeted that he has cancelled the NYT meeting today because they changed the terms and conditions.

The replies under this tweet are almost unanimously anti-Trump and nasty and rude! I wish some supporters would get over there and add supportive comments. I just added mine.

Maybe the media is still naive enough to think the RATS and the GOP are true enemies. Because they do play nice with RATS and mean with GOP.

But in reality we know the politicians are all just “friends across the aisle” and they have each other’s backsides.

Maybe the media just propagates that GOP vs RAT fantasy for the benefit of us little people. They can’t really do that anymore. At least not if they want to try and stitch back together their perceived credibility.

Do the media really buy that RATS and GOP are different? hard to believe when they are right there with all these people first hand and we are out here in the real world and yet we see the UNIPARTY clear as day.

So FRiend, the media are on their side, not ours. They might like the GOP less, but they like us even less than that.

“The press has become cozy with a POLITICAL PARTY”

The media have become propaganda operatives for the Democrat Party.

They only write what they are told to write.

WikiLeaks proved that.

“Fox does what it was meant to do. It pulls conservatives in during the off election years then once they have their trust they bombard them with constant left views during election years discouraging them from voting and keeping other alternatives from forming quickly.

This has been the M.O. since forming.”

I don't think you can generalize. Some people at Fox are very good. Lou Dobbs, Monica Crowley, Sean Hannity and others are good. Some are just as bad as the MSM.

Fox always said they are “Fair and Balanced”. They don't say they are always accurate. Fox provides different view points. Some of them are honest and independent. Others are the same as rest of the MSM.

I would have paid money to watch the look on little Georgie Stephanopolous’ face. He is so in love with the Clintons that he cannot see straight.

He may have a mental breakdown in the next 4 years.

Radditz has been all over the world in every possible war zone. She has broadcast from active areas of fighting & shelling.

She moderated one debate. The next morning, she was on ABC GMA. She claimed that “she was terrified to be on the same stage as Donald Trump”, and “that she didn’t know what he might do to her”. What a crock!!!

Some of the worst snowflakes have high paying jobs & are influencing Americans.

I disagree. He can hand out notes to them after the fly-by.

Trump just tweeted that he cancelled today’s meeting with the “failing NYT” because they changed the terms and conditions of the meeting.””””

HA HA HA HA-—the NYT is dictating to the incoming President?

What a joke. This is the tail trying to wag the dog.

Trump is far too busy to have any newspaper dictate to him. Trump doesn’t suffer fools gladly, IMO.

Give ‘em Hell, Mr Trump. Will they still be operating 4 years from now??

Then she went on to gin up the audience with accusations that President Elect Trump isn’t harsh enough on extremists. “””
