Hmmmm.
I never have, either. Even if I had, I wouldn’t support assassinating cops.
I think we have been having a low-level civil war in this country for decades. The aggressors are going to get an unpleasant surprise when the victims start shooting back.
So you’re cool with some thug sneaking up and shooting a cop in the back of the head? I’ve been abused by bad cops, but it didn’t make me want to murder a random police officer.
It is very unfortunate that we have come to this point. That Obama has been silent speaks volumes that he is in league with hate and terrorist groups like Black Lives Matter and CAIR and supports them proves that he is Anti-Law-enforcement. Just look at the DOJ and FBI. That’s right they are doing nothing to help and only go after LEO’s to appease these sick, murdering groups.
I am concerned that the prolific promotion of assassination of the president and oblique references to such a possibility as a good thing are going to motivate some screwballs to try it. I think that is the intent. The people talking about it want it to happen but are to cowardly or squeamish to attempt the deed themselves. Everyone who makes such a suggestion on the social sites, in the MSM or in public should be dealt with by the Secret Service to the fullest extent of the law.
ping.
“So youre cool with some thug sneaking up and shooting a cop in the back of the head?”
Nothing pisses me off more than when people put words in my mouth and then get outraged as if I said it.
You said this. I am not defending it because I didn’t say it.
Read what I actually wrote. I said the police are fomenting an insurgency. How many of these incidents have we had now with people killing police and sometimes at the price of their own lives?
These are not simple murders. It’s an insurgency. It’s a guerilla war being waged against the officers of the government. The last time this country saw such a thing was when the government officers were British.
I do not have to agree or disagree with the motivations of the killers to acknowledge their motivations. I’ve been on the receiving end of bad cops, too. I moved 1000 miles away from them and now I live with good cops and it’s precisely that contrast which has underlined to me why the bad cops need to knock it off with their antagonistic and tyrannical behavior. It is antithetical and alien to our Constitution and the rule of law.
For the time being the insurgency we’re witnessing is limited to the fringes of society. That can be urban black people and it can also include rural white people who have been taking up arms to resist unaccountable bureaucrats and unaccountable members of law enforcement.
I’m saying that it can get worse unless the cause of the insurgency is addressed.
* I want the police to obey the same laws as everyone else.
* I want them to uphold the Constitution.
Crazy, isn’t it? I mean these must be OUTRAGEOUS demands, am I right? How DARE I suggest that police should obey the law and uphold the Constitution, right?
Yet if they do only these two things the insurgency and the growing support for it will vanish. The need for it will be gone.
They will not do this until their support among the “It’s okay when a cop does it” crowd is diminished. Just because you haven’t been victimized by some roid-raging thug with a badge doesn’t excuse that kind of thing when it happens to other people and if you don’t like what I’m saying then you might want to take it up with the radical revolutionary who inspired my thinking:
Benjamin Franklin.
He said, Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.

MeganC, thank you for attempting to interject an even-handed, objective and truthful assessment of the issue. You are indeed correct, the militarization of law enforcement has been steadily escalating for nearly 20 years, both in terms of equipment/weaponry and also an ominous change in the doctrine/mindset of LEO’s. There’s plenty of blame on both sides, but we as a people, including Freepers, have become so polarized that very few seem to be able to see this, much less accept it.
Again, thanks for making the effort. ;-)
Thank you for your kind words!
I live in Wyoming and we have the Park County Sheriff’s Dept who are OUTSTANDING people...all of them.
They meant their oaths when they took them.
And these people are in stark contrast to the LEO’s I grew up with in California.
You just don’t ever appreciate how bad you have it until you have it good and now I have it good.
God bless and keep you and yours!

Well, here’s the first one...
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/11/21/suspect-arrested-in-killing-san-antonio-police-officer.html
Sure I'd feel bad for my conservative brethren who live in CA, but maybe the rest of the state would get a clue.
This is what it's like when you get 100% liberal control.
And not a dime from the Feds to support your illegals.
My guess is that they'd be crawling back on their knees in about six months, begging to re-join the "racist" USA.
So murdering cops is a “guerilla war”? I really don’t care if I piss off somebody who seems to condone murdering cops.
Post 31 has a photo of your guerilla insurgent hero (and the cop he murdered).
You state: “Kindly recognize that not everyone else can say the same thing.”
Need I say more...they didn’t obey the law or the authorities and got what they deserved. Hope they learned their lesson.
San Antonio Police announced Monday the arrest of a man suspected of targeting and killing a 50-year-old police officer. Otis Tyrone McKane, 31, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. while riding with a woman and a 2-year-old child in a car on Interstate 10, Chief William McManus said.
Well, imagine that...
Every one of these killings is because of Obama-—every one.
.
.
>> “The police have their limits, this will lead to a Dirty Harry vigilante like undercover Hit squads taking out the known thugs.
It will be war” <<
They had it in Oakland.
They were called “the Riders.”
They were wiping out the thugs, but the feds came in and decided that the riders were the bad guys.
Next time there will be civilians joining the cops, and there won’t be any stopping until every last Obama zombie is gone.
.
>>So murdering cops is a guerilla war?<<
What would you call it when we’ve now had around three dozen of these incidents over the past few years? “Completely isolated incidents”?
Refusing to see how these incidents are linked is no different than how the liberals refuse to understand the common link between tens of thousands of Islamic terror attacks.
And pointing out a reason why these attacks are happening is not the same as condoning them.
