Incoming Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) warned Sunday that Democrats would filibuster Donald Trump's Supreme Court candidates if they are not "mainstream."
"If he doesn't nominate a mainstream candidate, we're going to go at him with everything we've got ... Because this is so, so important," Schumer said on NBC's "Meet the Press." While Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) had suggested doing away with the filibuster, Schumer said Republicans "don't come with clean hands, having delayed Merrick Garland for a whole year."
President Obama nominated Garland to fill the vacancy left by the death of Antonin Scalia, but the Republican Senate blocked the nomination in hopes that a Republican would win the White House.
When Trump takes office in January, he will almost certainly appoint a conservative nominee to fill the vacancy.

The Supreme Court is more important for conservatives than liberals.
An early symbol for the Democrat Party was the Rooster. One could combine the old with the new and come up with Chicken-Ass as a moniker/mascot for the party.
Yep, elections have consequences... Supreme Court was a major part of the campaign.
This is the same stuff Chuckie pulled when Bush was in office. I can just see and hear him with that obnoxious voice declaring that such and such nominee is “out of the mainstream.”
The only bright side I can see is that Schumer does not play well outside of NY.

I think that Schumer’s definition of “mainstream” and America’s definition, differ a bit.

Why don’t you list them so that I would be able to easily think of a half dozen Republicans who’d lose their primaries the next time they’re up for election.
We can stand to lose two, assuming Pence gets to cast a tie vote. And it would be nice if those two were up in 2018.

The Voters just told Schumer and his Dems to stuff their version of “Mainstream”, pushed by the Left Wing MSM.
McCain, Graham, Collins, Sasse, Hatch, and Flake are my guesses. There could be more.
