Oh the short memories of people online. But then again that assumes whether or not George W. Bush can be considered a Republican. The Bush’s are about as Republican as General Benedict Arnold can be considered an American Patriot. There were 4 different time periods where this was true for them during the Dubya years.

1 & 2. For two periods of time in the 107th Congress the GOP had the White House and control of both houses of Congress. On Jan 20, 2001 Bush43 won and the GOP had control of both houses of Congress. The Senate was just 50-50 so when Daschle got Jeffords to switch that summer the Dem’s became the majority party in the Senate until the November 2002 election results were certified in Missouri. That’s when Jean Carnahan, a Dem, had to give up her seat to Sen-elect Jim Talent since she was an appointee to take the place of her late husband.

3. The 108th Congress opened with the GOP having majorities in both houses - 51-49 in the Senate; 229-206 in the House. Their majority held throughout the entire 2 years. Dubya was president this entire time.

4. The 109th Congress opened with the GOP having majorities in both houses - 55-45 in the Senate and 232-193 in the House. Their majority held throughout the entire 2 years. Dubya was president this entire time.

The 2006 elections brought about the end of the GOP controlling the White House and both houses of Congress at the same time, until Jan 20, 2017.

Correction: On Jan 20, 2001 Bush43 took the oath of office to uphold and defend the Constitution; not that he won that day.

Now looking ahead to 2018 it is very possible that the GOP could lose a majority of the governorships and state legislatures throughout the country. Furthermore, there is the possibility of them losing the US House. Why? Because it all depends on how well the economy does, how well Trump does for America, and how well the Soros Side does. Those of you who may say “nothing to worry about” are either naive or you sincerely believe that George Soros (and his swamp spreading comrades) will be nice guys and put America first.
