Lindsay Graham, John McCain, and Jeff Flake (at a minimum) are fully prepared to back Schumer fully.

There’s the filibuster threat. Don’t know if that can be done away with prior to a USSC nomination.

filibuster? forgetting they made the nuclear option rule change? Only 51 needed, although they may not agree.

Nuke the filibuster and knock off all of the “reaching across the aisle” bull****. The GOOBers look and act like morons every time they do it. Hey GOOBs, the ‘RATs are NOT your ‘friends’.

In other words, they’ll filibuster every nominee to the right of Sol Alinski.

Well then, Chuckie, better notify your dentist and manicurist. When this is all done you’re going to need some serious repairs.

...and Chuck Shumer is by all rights the sole arbiter of what can be considered mainstream.

I think perhaps four years of opposition by the Senate Democrats could equal an acquisition of Senate seats on the next go round sufficient to overcome any opposition.

Trump should nominate his third most conservative option. When the thugs Bork that nominee, choose the second most conservative option, and then the most conservative option. They will look like the bigoted fools they are if everyone is met with the same baseless attacks, and we end up with the most conservative Justice possible.

When Up-Chuck Schumer tells McConnell to “jump”, will Mitch obsequiously ask “how high”?

No problem! Only reason Reid didn't extend the "Reid Rule" to SC nominees is that there weren't any at the time.

He said he would do so "when" Hillary won and the Democrats took over the Senate.

What's sauce for the goose...

They'll do it when they next take the WH and Senate. It would be beyond stupid for the Republicans not to do so now.
