The dug-in Trump support may still be hiding from polls, meaning that this is about “everybody else” and that Trump’s real support is something stratospheric.
I think it highlights Donald.
Critics are being shambed because of their ignorance and hyprocrisy.
#14 - Amen, brother!
Thanks for the clarification - It’s getting so a plain statement just doesn’t taste right these days and I tend to keep reading wryness, etc., where there isn’t any.
SNL, Broadway, the MSM - they are about to be severely disappointed when their group think only applies to 15% of the population and they are forever in the wilderness crying and worried.
Are you tired of winning yet? Before long, there won’t be much to say anything cynical about any more.
I think there's also the observation that Trump isn't doing anything crazy and is hiring good people as advisors, cabinet members, etc.
Of course, the unhinged left is going nuts. But, I think their complaints are actually providing good information to moderate and center-right voters, who approve of Trump's choices.
There's one remaining thing that I think could screw it up: Trump has to figure out how to deal with potential conflicts of interest by divesting himself of his financial empire. I think that a lot of people saw the problems with the Clinton Foundation, and Trump can't afford even the perception that he is benefiting from his position as President.
I don't know how he could do it, but the best thing he could do is put his businesses on "autopilot" for 4 years. If the economy takes off and grows at 3-4% per year, he would miss some opportunities. But, everything will be scrutinized, whether an independent trustee or his family does it.
The other big risk: any tax reform proposal is going to be measured by how it may benefit Trump, personally. The leftists are going to howl, no matter what. But, what about the people in the middle -- especially millenials that don't remember what happened in the 80's?
Not in the least bit tired - a lot of my cynicism is due to those that have indicated they are so worn out with winning that they need to keep alive/invent all the possible “concerns” over Trump that they can. Hard to break myself of the habit of looking for signs of it but I’m trying.
Trump seems to have a special charm blessing him at this point.
I am more unsure of some of Trump’s associates, unless even the righty media is giving us an unfair picture (which it might).
I would be concerned, say, with Pence being all wow about that “Hamilton” show. It looks like freedom, Mike? Well yes, if you mean the freedom to be dumb and politically correct.
But again Donald picked Mike. Maybe this is another case where God will bless even Donald’s mistakes.
He’s likely going to have his kids manage things. How that will work with his program is a good question, but probably, he’ll take a blizzard of criticism and just tell them all to go to hell.
He’d have to avoid anything truly blatantly biased towards the Trump holdings against other factors, but I think Donald will aim towards the rising tide that lifts all boats, including those that his kids are holding.
Look at some of the "losers" God chose to do his bidding.....some, Jonah for instance, actually set out to thwart His plans and another cowered in fear while God called him a great and fearless warrior - which he ended up being.
I'm praying that God will be Trump's rearguard....
This spike in popularity is happening much sooner than I thought it would. I figured that it would start happening only after he actually took office.
This is what the Democrats and the mainstream media feared the most about him becoming president: That he would win the American people over.
Don't expect the Democrats and MSM to give up so easily however. They are still going all out to destroy the man and will do everything in their power to make the Trump presidency a failure.
I think however that they are losing their credibility and their power to influence the American people.
Yes, they are.
I think we need a requirement that all Satire sites and articles be clearly identified.
The Satire sites used to have disclaimers on them.
Snowflakes are going to melt at the dinner tables this year.
Agreed. You will never stop the angry chimp noises, and his kids worked hard to build what will one day be theirs.
I laughed at the SNL skit about thanksgiving, for all the wrong reasons. They portrayed the dinner table as the leftist milenial lecturing the elder at the table to pass the whatever. I laughed because I imagined the elder saying to the millennial, hey, before you go back downstairs make sure you clean-up you lazy do nothing.
I’m praying that God will be Trump’s rearguard...

Yes, and foreguard, completely surrounded by His angels.
