Chicago, bye. NYC and the majority of the NE, bye. Seattle, bye. But overall, probably not too bad. No mass extinction. Lose a lot of population? Probably.

Lots of sand and gravel deposits in our section of the Jersey Shore washed down from the melting glaciers only a few dozen to fifty miles north of here

Bread. Milk. Sugar butter and cinnamon. It isnt a blizzard without home made French toast.

I use olive oil instead of butter for mine; my cardiologist approves.

I'm about 20 miles west of,and about 150 feet above, the Atlantic at its current level. So I'm probably OK.

Also, something I saw recently...don't know how often you get to Central Park in Manhattan but the park has many rocky outcrops that seem to emerge from nowhere.A documentary I saw recently said that those outcrops represent proof that Central Park was once covered by a glacier many hundreds of feet thick.

Yes, I've been on them and noticed the striations made by rock debris embedded in the ice. And down here you can envision the volume and velocity of the melt water by the sorting of the debris; boulders and rocks further north to diminishing sized gravel, then sand to the south.
