Professors call Founding Fathers ‘terrorists,’ founding ideals a ‘fabrication’

A humanities course currently taught at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs teaches that the Founding Fathers were hypocrites, terrorists and money-hungry barons who used hyperbole and fear to rile up the colonists to revolt against England.

The “Resistance and Revolution” class is co-taught by history lecturer Jared Benson and sociology instructor Nicholas Lee, who also suggest that it was Mikhail Gorbachev – not Ronald Reagan — who brought down the collapse of the Soviet Union, and that wealthy CEOs deserve to be in a “moral prison,” among many other assertions.

Calling the Founding Fathers “terrorists,” Benson and Lee voice criticism and cynicism against many of the events leading up to the Revolutionary War, teaching students the founding ideals were “merely a fabrication for a social movement” — a means to an end for the colonist elites who were tired of England’s control and needed the gullible masses to help them break free. They argued the Revolutionary War wasn’t really about freedom. The educators suggest that the only people truly affected by taxation were the rich. However, the rich could not wage war on their own and needed the poor to fight for them.

If this fool thinks what the Founders did was illegitimate he should check his lineage and go back to the original homeland of his progenitors. I mean for him to stay here is supporting what the Founders did that was so bad. He would not have anything to say about HIS country then, and could live in the Nirvana land he so desires.

It used to be that these unbalance crazies were committed to insane asylums. Now they are running loose among us and the MSM declares them the new normal. Talk about an upside world. Hang on to your sanity and refuse to give an inch.

Denouncing key figures of the American Revolution such as Paul Revere and Thomas Paine, the scholars call them propagandists who riled “the uninformed masses against the British” by appealing to fear.

Unlike today, much of the population of the time may not have been educated, but they were not uninformed.

In The Rights of Man, Chapter 4 Part 1 (1791), Paine writes of the general familiarity with state constitutions by the People prior to the creation of the federal Constitution:

Here we see a regular process — a government issuing out of a constitution, formed by the people in their original character; and that constitution serving, not only as an authority, but as a law of control to the government. It was the political bible of the state. Scarcely a family was without it. Every member of the government had a copy; and nothing was more common, when any debate arose on the principle of a bill, or on the extent of any species of authority, than for the members to take the printed constitution out of their pocket, and read the chapter with which such matter in debate was connected.

I hope that people are starting to see what is going on. This is not really a left versus right war. This is the Revolutionary War that has been going on behind the scenes for 240 years. The world elites never forgave us for taking away the Colonies and eventually ending their slave driven economy. This continent and all of it’s riches were supposed to be theirs.

They have recaptured (emotionally) most of their slaves and they are using them to try to tear down an idea that they hate... that is the ideal that average people can come together and find common good and prosper thru consensus. THEY DESPISE THE IDEA!!! ALL THINGS MUST BE CONTROLLED AND CENTRALIZED!!! That is the only way in their minds.

So don’t get too caught up in Leftists -vs -Rightists ideas. That’s not really the war. The war is Centralized Control -vs- Representative/Consensus control. The later of which they find repulsive.

This professor speaks exactly like the British Crown did 240 years ago. Because he is one of them in Spirit and Mind.

Let the old professor-fart babble away.

No, that's why are are where we are.

Many, many, MANY years ago. I was running a business in a college town. I was a part time student and outraged at the twaddle presented as scholarship. Was having dinner with the owner (who had graduated from the same school.) He said I should just accept opposition.

I said it wasn't a question of opposition, or of not allowing them to teach what they pleased; it was a question of why I, as a taxpayer, wanted to pay for it. I think that answer stands up well many years later.

Neglect is why we find ourselves where we are. Vermin such as Bill Ayers find a comfortable place to spread their poison.

It ends when the Institutional Left loses funding. Period.

He also neglects that for several decades the colonists appealed to the british kings through multiple political channels, to no end. Things just got worse and worse.

“I SAY DEFUND THE UNIVERSITIES, let the fend for themselves”

They are the seedbeds for sedition and treason. They all need to be closed for a period of time and all their teaching staffs removed to a desert island. These people are responsible for leading our young people down the road to servitude.
