It did not take long for a Donald Trump supporter to respond to the way the Broadway cast of “Hamilton” treated Vice President-elect Mike Pence. BroadwayWorld reports a Trump supporter disrupted the Saturday night performance of “Hamilton” in Chicago.

Agree. I think launching a few overripe vegetables at them might be more effective. And a time-honored tradition in the theater.
Either way, if the cast was in tears...that’s a good thing.

I’m thrilled that anyone is fighting back at this point. For too long, we just took their crap and said nothing.
The high point was the Bush 43 administration. Never once did they challenge the Democrat propaganda. And...that propaganda became recognized as “truth” as a result.

Wish Pence had strode to the stage, taken the microphone, and told the crowd Trump and he will be the president & VP for the nation, and will make good on the promises they made during the campaign. Hand the mic back and walk off. SS would have gone crazy, though, plus Pence had his daughter & cousins with him.

I would be unhappy even if someone did a Pro-Trump lecture at a Broadway Show that I paid a huge amount of money to attend.
A client of mine who loved Streisand paid a huge amount of money to see her in Florida, where she interrupted her concert with a 30 minute rant against Bush. My friend yelled out “Shut Up and SING!” LOL!
The ONLY time this is “acceptable” is when the comic lead in a Gilbert & Sullivan opera adds a verse to tweak current events during his “patter song”. And even THAT has to be quick, pithy, relevant, and innocent of any malice towards the audience.

It was Chicago so a different cast that had nothing to do with Pence. And the audience paid good money to see the play. I would have been mad if I paid to see it and this guy interrupted it.
The audience members who watched the show with Pence should’ve considered the consequemces of their booing him.
Because of them, now all future audiences will have to prepare for the reaction.
It’s good these future audiences will be so inconvenienced: the depressed attendance will kill the Hamilton franchise.
I guess maybe Trump supporters could sneak in and hold up signs that say, “Not my Hamilton!” or whatever else the Soros crowds are chanting about Trump.
