Melania is a very hands on mother. She did not have nannies for Barron, she raised her own child. They certainly could have afforded all of the help any mom could want.

Some time after Dubya left the WH, I think I read that Laura actually spent most of that time in Texas at the ranch they had, at that time. I don't think a lot of people knew that; I know I was a little surprised.

So, maybe not such a bit deal. I don't think Michelle spends all that much time in the WH. What with all the taxpayer funded vacations that she has had during the last 8 years.
