I was too busy asking myself why paleo"conservatives" so worship the obvious foreign policy "successes" of Neville Chamberlain and other cowards. Even Lindbergh and MacCormack abandoned paleopacifism the moment that Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese.

In her college years, Hillary was also on autosurrender just like the "paleos." She ran an "alternative" graduation ceremony rather than listen to that notorious warmonger Senator Ed Brooke as commencement speaker. He was insufficiently in favor of Ho Chi Minh, you see. Ho Chi Minh has to be among your heroes, too, right? It is an everlasting shame upon the USA that Ho died in bed with his boots off. He should have died in the streets of Hanoi with his head off.

As a paleo and an admirer of Neville Chamberlain, you would not know "discredited" if it jumped up and bit you. No one will EVER forget Neville Chamberlain's weak-kneed sissified performance on the tarmac at Heathrow about "Peace in Our Time' and about how Herr Hitler's territorial ambitions were at an end. What reason would Hitler have to lie? Hmmmmm?

I don't remember any of those four other than perhaps Wolfowitz (and shame on him!) endorsing Her Satanic Majesty. They simply were not convinced that Trump was committed to destroying our enemies. I certainly would be amazed if Bolton supported Hillary as you are trying to suggest. Richard Perle, IIRC, is pure genius. Bill Kristol has exceeded his shelf life as amply demonstrated this year even if he did not endorse her. John Bolton at State and Mattis at the Pentagon and the world will be right in short order.

In any event, if Trump appoints retired Marine Corps General James "Mad Dog" Mattis as Secretary of Defense, this exchange and Islamofortunes will be at a permanent end. Mattis is no politician and he is a former commanding officer of the First Division. He will KNOW what to do.

You should probably quit now while you can.

You've been reduced to touting the credentials and accomplishments of people who orchestrated an unmitigated disaster in the Middle East by any measure -- financial, diplomatic, and in lost and wrecked human lives. Richard Perle is "pure genius?" What the 'eff are you talking about? He has spent the last decade first working to diminish his role in the invasion of Iraq, then finally admit that the whole thing was a disaster.

Gen. Mattis probably isn't going to be the Secretary of Defense anytime soon. As a former military officer he would have to wait at least seven years after his retirement before serving in that role -- which means he isn't eligible until 2020 unless Congress changes that law.

They simply were not convinced that Trump was committed to destroying our enemies.

Bullsh!t. Trump called them out when he laid waste to Jeb Bush in one of those debates during the GOP primaries ... when he pointed out repeatedly that the U.S. doesn't even know who our friends and enemies are over there -- and has been providing financial and military support to them for years.

Trump won this election because he exposed the absurdity of pissing away trillions of dollars and thousands of lives in stupid military campaigns all over the globe, while doing nothing to stop the invasion across our own southern border.
