Vice President-elect Mike Pence took in the hit Broadway hip-hop musical “Hamilton” last night in New York City.
As you could imagine, he was booed when he entered the theater in the deep blue state.
But it gets worse.
The performers actually took a stance against Pence, as well.
For real.

The vice president-elect was greeted with a mix of cheers and jeers as he entered, and exited, “Hamilton.” And in between, he received a lecture from Brandon Dixon, who plays Aaron Burr in the musical.
“Vice President-elect Pence, we welcome you and we truly thank you for joining us here at ‘Hamilton: An American Musical.’ We really do,” Dixon, who also asked the crowd not to boo Pence, said. “We, sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and work on behalf of all of us. All of us. Thank you.”
Creator of the musical, Lin-Manuel Miranda, tweeted the following after the performance…

They are performers that have been paid to entertain... dancing and singing monkeys, nothing more. They should all be booted out of the theater on their whiny behinds.
I’ll be surprised if there is a sudden drop in people attending. It’s the hottest ticket in town. I can hope though. It was never worth the money to me anyway.
I wonder why Pence would even go to such an event in the first place, in the highly charged Bolshevik political atmosphere of NYC of all places. He should have known his presence there would be inviting such reaction. Hate filled NYC is not his beloved mid west.
If tickets can’t be cancelled, go anyway and boo the cast. Wear Trump gear. Let them see how it feels.
I never quite understood why all the photos I've seen of this play included black actors. Now it is starting to make sense. I had not realized that casting call was for ONLY POC. What a crock.
I once saw Big River on Broadway. What an experience! But can you imagine if the actor playing the slave Jim had been white?
Lots of empty seats sends a real good message. In the future, don't contribute to them.
People tend to avoid restrooms where somebody has just thrown up all over the floor and sinks.
What is interesting ... I hadn’t paid any attention to this play, and would have been tempted just because of the reviews. But now with the “attention” ... no way would I ever go to a play like that. This is the CORRECT advertising for a play like this. I really didn’t understand what it was “about” (from fly-over country, deplorables).
At least Aaron Burr ended Hamilton’s career in Weehawken.
Yes we all really need to identify and boycott anything that is connected to what is wrong with this country.
I didn’t like Trump demanding an apology...that’s bizarre. We just need to hurt them with our wallets!

Right on the tourist from flyover land. They do the same exact thing in CA with Hollywood, Rose Parade and the rest.
For those in flyover country, most those who actually live in places like S. CA, they avoid places like Hollywood like the plague. They couldn’t give me a fully stocked complementary stretch limo to take me there. No joke.
Can’t cancel tickets only resell, by the way this is the same show that was sued because in their casting adds, or calls they said only black Americans need apply. No whites. Don’t know how it turned out.
Those who can’t return their tickets, just hand them out to some really ripe homeless folks.
Especially at the time of ‘Bonfire’, the push was on to include HIV-positive as a privileged class. If you’re white, HIV trumps your negative white privilege. If you’re not white, your privilege points double.
I suspect he may have gone, in part, to stir the reaction that he got. VP E Pence walks away the winner last night as he got the leftist pansies to demonstrate their bigotry and vile attitudes.
