He didn’t phrase it well, but I think what he meant is that Dems particularly hate opponents who’ve been the most effective and unapologetic, including Rove (way back when), and like the call them evil, Darth Vader, etc.

I think it is going to be truly hard to turn the REAL GHETTOS around the parents in those places are usually strung out on drugs and honestly don’t give a damn about their kids!!! I would LOVE to see school choice BOOM in these areas but I have my doubts about the people wanting to change their communities!!!!

These are the same sentiments spewed by the left.

Great thing to have a long term vision. Let’s cut the hubris and just do the right thing.

Build the wall.
Protect the unborn.
Fight the Islamists.
Destroy the judicial tyranny taking away religious freedom.

Grow the economy.
Attack every media lie.
Move toward true energy independence.
Educational opportunity for all-even private & homeschool.

Trump is competent CEO, with a net worth of billions, selling to the world’s richest and most demanding consumers, to prove it, Obama was an Affirmative Action Diversity hire.

Don’t get overconfident. I hope President Trump will govern like he only has four years to dismantle liberal excess - and then like he only has four more years before a leftist true believer takes power.

We never know what will happen, and it’s important to do everything possible to make as much progress as possible as quickly as possible - while making it difficult for America’s enemies to rebuild anything harmful that President Trump dismantles. Also, history suggests that no matter how good (or bad) Trump is at the job, after eight years, the thugs on the left will be motivated to retake power, while real Americans will be complacent and will have forgotten the threat that a big leftist government poses.

Perhaps we’ll have 12 years in the White House (like Reagan-Reagan-Bush), but we are far more likely to have only eight years, (like the past eight years under the usurper, Bush-Bush, Clinton-Clinton, Nixon-Ford, JFK-FDR, Ike-Ike, Truman-Truman, Wilson-Wilson). Other than the first Civil War to WWI, and then Harding-Coolidge-Hoover, and finally FDR, longer stretches in the White House are rare events. I don’t think America has that in our country even if the economy grows at a miraculous rate under President Trump.

Strike while the iron is hot and get anything worthwhile done now, including dismantling the government-industrial complex, deporting illegals, shrinking FedGov, and repealing all unconstitutional gun laws (which is most federal and state gun laws).

LS,

First, since I don’t think we spoke before, let me say that I admire you work and opinions. Second, it is one thing to win; it is another to govern. Winning is meaningless unless you can implement your agenda. Third, no contest occurs in a vacuum; the Dems and rinos will put up a fight.

I am cautiously optimistic that Trump will get things done, but in my lifetime, I’ve yet to see a major roll-back of the progressive agenda, or the elimination of a major government agency. So pardon me for being cynical, but I need to see the actions of the Trump administration before I can be as positive as others on FR.

Regards,
K51

Krugman promised a 40 year majority

Krugman in the New York times:

Now we get to celebrate as the "work" runs into a brick wall named Trump.

Now stop that! He should be a beta male,he should be capitulating and he should be subtle, and he should be humble. People here really don’t know how to win. lol

It is unfortunate that Bannon is also channeling Andrew Jackson and claiming this is as exciting as the 1930’s...

Not sure how any conservative can look back at Andrew Jackson or the 1930’s as a positive time for conservatives or in either case an actual shrinking of government.

Really, Hoover, FDR these are the leaders Bannon thinks are exciting...

He couldn’t pick the roaring 20’s and Coolidge? He couldn’t pick Madison or Washington???

IMO, these are potential red flags that mean we need to remain vigilant and keep all of Trump’s circle accountable.

Then again, the forgotten people are the ones that have to live in these gangland territories because they can’t afford to move, and just not go out at night and hit the floor when they hear gunfire. It’s not good and I’m confident that there are thousands of good people or at least people who want to be good trapped in there with no perceivable way out.

I’m not afraid of speaking optimistically, but I don’t put my trust and faith wholeheartedly in man; I reserve that for God alone.

And I put my energy into God, family, and my local portion of this great country, and don’t need the likes of you to lecture me.

So please, stop the mind reading and realize that not everyone shares your unlimited enthusiasm.

Peace

To me, among the top priorities must be to attack the way the left cheats and manipulates elections. There should be sweeping warrants for election fraud. So many prosecutions, so little time.

I was talking to my dad about this earlier today.

He said that they called Reagan crazy when he said he wanted to defeat the Soviet Empire. They said it could not be done and Reagan was delusional.

The thing these pygmies don’t understand is that Reagan could achieve great things as he had a powerful sense of vision and wasn’t afraid to think big. In this aspect, Trump is cut from the exact same cloth as Dutch.
