There are many pathological traits to being a progressive. Hypocrisy is just one.
According to my opinion, and the opinions of many defectors of my caliber, only about 15% of time, money, and manpower is spent on espionage as such. The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion, active measures, or psychological warfare. What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country.
The result? The result you can see ... the people who graduated in the 60’s, dropouts or half-baked intellectuals, are now occupying the positions of power in the government, civil service, business, mass media, and educational systems. You are stuck with them. You can’t get through to them. They are contaminated. They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern [alluding to Pavlov]. You cannot change their mind even if you expose them to authentic information. Even if you prove that white is white and black is black, you still can not change the basic perception and the logic of behavior.
The demoralization process in the United States is basically completed already for the last 25 years. Actually, it’s over fulfilled because demoralization now reaches such areas where not even Comrade Andropov and all his experts would even dream of such tremendous success. Most of it is done by Americans to Americans thanks to lack of moral standards. As I mentioned before, exposure to true information does not matter anymore. A person who was demoralized is unable to assess true information. The facts tell nothing to him, even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents and pictures. ...he will refuse to believe it.... That’s the tragedy of the situation of demoralization.
Most of the American politicians, media, and educational system train another generation of people who think they are living at the peacetime. False. United States is in a state of war; undeclared, total war against the basic principles and foundations of this system. And the initiator of this war is not Comrade Andropov of course - it’s the system. However, ridiculous it may sound, [it is] the world Communist system, or the world Communist conspiracy. I didn’t go. My family generally considers college to be actively opposed to learning to think, and to productive maturity. We are also disinclined to pay Rolls Royce prices for Ford Pinto merchandise.
I live near a college that is widely regarded as outstanding, so I encounter college students daily. From the level of intelligence and maturity I can discern, they could all be alcoholics and philosophy majors. The university library is exceptional, but the tell is the local book store. YA lit, vampire lit, gift shop baskets, a coffee lounge, but the Western canon is special order only.

The lies, hypocracy, day to day erratic behavior of the left becomes completely understandable once you realize one thing. They feel justified to do or say anything that furthers their agenda TODAY. It may be the opposite of what they stated or supported yesterday, but they will do it if it helps them TODAY.
It is there defining feature.
Deception is the KEY trait of the Left, and allows them to work in all the other tactics and strategies of darkness.
Here’s the leftist’s game. Tear down this country by putting politicians in office who will subvert it from the inside. Or, if their politicians lose elections, tear it down by destroying the people’s confidence in the election process. They could care less whether they are called hypocrites or not. It means nothing to them. As long as they are damaging the foundations of the country.
The reason that hypocrisy is a fundamental part of liberalism is because liberalism is a RELIGION, and the fundamental traits of much religion are hypocrisy and self-righteousness.
Liberals have both.

Reality and logic are two subjects that little liberal children must never be exposed to or they might start questioning what other blather that is being taught to them is pure bilge wash.

On You Tube, Charlotte Iserbyt lays it all out in a series of videos. I recommend them. Our educational system, our media and even our churches have been overtaken and used against us.

The Left encourages people to be spoiled, self-centered narcissists because that’s what their leaders are.
The cardinal sin to liberals is...oddly enough..Hypocrisy.
Their defense against being accused of hypocrisy is a bizzare combination of Rousseauian Moral Relativism coupled with a strain of Orwellian Doublethink. They believe that all behaviors are matters of personal choice (except in the case of homosexuality) regardless of consequence, and one type of behavior is equally as valid as another.
To put it another way, they don’t have any values or standards. If you don’t have values or standards, you can never be called to be held to them, and can never be accused of Hypocrisy.
Most conservatives understand the Christian concept of hate the sin, love the sinner. We know that people are not pefect, but we do think that standards should be there as, at the very minimum, a goal to strive for. If you don’t reach those standards, you try to learn from the experience and learn to try again.
Liberals think that every kid is going to have sex no matter what is done or said, so there is no valid reason to discourage it. And if you can’t bring yourself to discourage it, then there is no reason you should make them suffer for doing something they can’t help doing anyway.
It just occurred to me that liberals might even go so far as to supply safe areas for kids to have sex, so they wouldn’t do it in the woods or in a dangerous building. Perhaps they already have, and I have simply not noticed.
Hypocrisy is such a nice word - it sort of implies an accidental, unintended wandering into contradictory positions or arguments - a much better word for what the left engages in deliberately, without caring anything about how silly, outrageous, or hurtful their contradictions appear, would be deceitfulness......

my thought is the purpose of being liberal is to not be bound by morals, ethics, values or standards. it is progressive to abandon the lessons of tens of thousands of years and return to the pristine wild state
