Scott Brown is being considered for Veterans Affairs secretary a position the former Massachusetts Republican senator says he would accept if offered.
The VA is in trouble. Soldiers are dying while waiting, employee morale is low and it needs to be fixed, Brown told The Post in an email.
Having served for 35 years in military, last 4 years at Pentagon, serving on Armed Services, Veterans and working on these issues for decades, it would be a great challenge to fix and a great honor to serve if asked. Time will tell, he added.
Brown, who moved a couple years ago to New Hampshire to run for Senate there, was an early and instrumental supporter of Trump before the first-in-the-nation primary there.

The Houston VA is pretty good. No complaints from this Navy vet.

Don't like him - too weak for the job.

Brown isn't perfect but he is a veteran and a patriot.
If Trump picks him will you complain?

Ben Carson wanted our vote for his candidacy to POTUS -- but, he recently made the following statement regarding his non-interest in a cabinet position:
It is vital to have independent voices of reason and reconciliation
Given his run for POTUS, perhaps the good doctor would at least consider the less glamorous, yet serious position of Veterans Affairs.

Do you have a preferred candidate for VA Secretary?

I certainly can’t argue with that. I especially enjoyed his ideas at his Easter Breakfast speech for replacing Obolacare.

But then don’t we lose a vote in the Senate? MA will replace him with a rat, won’t they?

He should offer him an advisory position reporting to Gingrich.

Didnt he (Scott Brown) actually come through on Obamacare (as the vote to stop it), but then the Democrats passed it anyway using reconciliation?
-————————————————————I
I think they rushed the vote through right before Brown was officially a senator so that he could not vote.

Has ANYONE heard Trump say this??? It is likely either a trial balloon from Team Trump to see if Brown would be well-received and if there are skeletons they have not found, or just Brown's supporters trying to get their man's name into consideration. Either way, if you know Brown, it's worth speaking up. Trump's people read FR, and it's to America's advantage for us to take plausible nominations seriously.

I expect Scott Brown would be good.
Honestly had been thinking ROMNEY, if he just must be brought in at all, and considering that he turned around the US Olympics to great applause by all.

I’d like to serve the Trump administration in whatever capacity I could be most effective.
Right now that appears to be bloviating on FR.
