Saudis implore Israelis for help

The Saudi royals are petitioning the Israelis to save them. As the president of the Saudi American Public Relation Affairs Committee, Salman al-Ansari, says in this Hill blog post, the Saudis are imploring Israel to resuscitate their collapsing economy and defend them against their Iranian Muslim brethren.

This should not have come as a surprise, given the Saudi ruling family’s obsession with its security and mistrust of Arab and Muslim regimes, especially the Persians, with whom they share strategic borders and reciprocal religious hatred.

Having risen to and maintained their power by ruthless force, the Saudi rulers have mastered the art of ensuring their survival by all the means they possess, can invent or can buy.

For instance, after concluding that there would be long-term adverse reactions, especially by Americans and their Western allies, to the terrorist attack on the U.S. by mostly Saudi nationals on Sept. 11, 2001, the Saudi rulers resorted to what they know well: creating a diversionary stratagem.

After the 9/11 attack, global media embarked upon an unprecedented exposure of the Saudis’ repressive policies, toxic doctrine and support for Muslim extremists and terrorists worldwide. To counter this, the Saudi rulers tried to refocus global attention on the Arab-Israeli conflict.

When the Americans die in my service their bodies are frozen in metal boxes by the US Embassy and American airplanes carry them away, as if they never existed. Truly, America is my favorite slave.

This attitude is the reason I've always detested the Saudis, together with the fact that their money, directly or indirectly, accounts for most of the world's funding for radical Islam and jihad.

I think that the Saudis realize that Trump won't lick their boots as Obama and the Bushes did, and with America independent of Saudi oil, they're looking for any friends they can find. Who will they go running to next? Maybe China would prefer them to Iran, but I doubt that their arrogant, entitled attitude would go over well with Xi.

I understand your concern, but I'm not sure that having a US version of Pemex is the only or best solution to the problem. Perhaps it would be simpler to have a law preventing US oil companies (and other key industries that are vital to our security) from having majority shareholders who are not US citizens or US-based corporations.

Listen, I know this sounds crazy but let’s suppose DJT really wanted to lessen our debt and especially our responsibility to pay it back to foreign countries. Let’s sell off all federal lands to American citizens only and foreign lenders can’t reposes them from us citizens.

It can be the NEW HOMESTEAD ACT where only Americans (probably republicans in blue states can but land out west and move).
