I had a boss years ago who said that any meeting that goes longer than 15 minutes is a waste of time.
Where I work, most meetings start 15 minutes late, run twice as long as the budgeted time and make absolutely no effort to decide anything. It’s just chatter. But it helps us chew through our billion dollar budget, so we have that going for us. Which is great.
