I don’t disagree with that. But almost anyone picked at random out of the phone book would have been a better, and less destructive president, than Obama.

Romney would have done a much better job with the economy but he’s still a big government type and too weak to be an effective Commander-in-Chief. Mittens couldn’t even put Obama away when he had the chance in the debates.

[Is Jeb unavailable?]

Jeb is in the backroom stacking container loads of guacamole bowls that have been returned to Dollar Tree.

Treasury, maybe. Not State.

It'll be a real disappointment if Trump is unwise enough to appoint a man so openly hostile to his agenda.

“a source close to the president-elect with direct knowledge of his thinking told NBC News.”

Not a chance this statement is true.

Reminds me of a couple Apprentice episodes where in the beginning crew one person rubbed Trump the wrong way so badly you could accurately predict the cat playing with the mouse, string the person along for drama and then cut them loose in style. Romney is and always will be a loser, pukes when called up to bat.

Great pick... if we were planning on normalizing relations with Planet Kolob.

Otherwise, Not So Much.

Trump is messing with us.

Not with us, he's messing with the press.

Trump is laying the field for his coming “Spring Offensive” by putting out brushfires and turning neutrals - and former adversaries - into allies.

I agree. Anyhow, I'm done underestimating Mr. Trump as he's proved me wrong time and time again over this past year. I'll just defer to his, as you said, genius.

Actually, this is really funny and cool at the same time. TRUMP becomes Mitt’s boss! Couldn’t have worked out any better.

Makes sense, especially since cell Romney was so against him getting elected.

TRUMP IS 10 LAPS AHEAD

You do not get to be a $10 billion businessman, during his lifetime, by predictably showing all your cards. That is what us common folk do. We are lucky enough to live in our house at an advanced age.

LOL

I love watching people guess. People are codependent. Every one of those 17 competitors were followers. One smidgeon of conflict, people fold.

LOL

The very thought of Romney anywhere near the Trump administration makes me sick to my stomach. Romney is the very embodiment of treachery.

I tend to agree, but if it is true, then it means someone in Trump's inner circle leaked this. Usually that means the leak is deliberate and sanctioned by the principal -- Trump in this case. The President-elect might not be the type to hold grudges, but what Romney did is beyond the pale in my estimation. So I just find this so hard to believe.
